Went to the Doctor Today
I went to see Dr. Salameh this morning
I got there at 9:am to watch a movie. The movie was maybe 20 minutes long. Then I was taken to an examining room. Within 10 minutes, the Doctor was in there.
Dr. Salameh is a very sweet person. When he came in, he introduced himself. Smiled the whole time. I didn't get to ask hardly any questions because he covered everything.
He made sure that what he was saying was understood. The Doctor explained the two different types of surgery that they do at the UMC. Which is a nice thing in todays world.
He did not rush in and out. Which was very nice. And very different from most Doctors. My husband went to the appointment with me, and even he liked him. He was actually very pleased with Dr. Salameh.
The Doctor asked me a few questions and checked me over. Dr. Salameh told me that I was a prefect candidate to have WLS.
He said that he may want me to have a sleep study done just to be on the safe side. I need to have my Neurologist send over my records to they can find out if my spinal cyst drain is ran into my stomach.
Also, that if I could get a psych exam done quicker here in town, to go ahead if I wanted too. That it would not expire.
His office is going to set up appointments for the things that I need to have done. They will be calling me with the dates, times and locations.
Dr. Salameh also told me that with no more than what I had to have done to get ready for surgery, that I should be ready to go in 2-3 months.
But, that it was a long drawn out thing to be patient.
Yeah Right!!!
I'm so excited that I can hardly wait.
And if being so excited is not enough,
I think that my Doctors looks favor the actor Brendan Frasier.
So more than likely the whole time I was in there with him, I probably had a crazy looking smile all across my face
Even my Hubby said he looked like Brendan Frasier, so you know what that proves? I'm not
Christine,
He is soooo cute.
I'd make an appointment with him, just to get to see him
If nothing else, I'd go to one of the support groups that he will be at.
The BEST thing about him, he is so sweet. He really is.
A real Sweet Heart. That is one thing that makes him a doll.
He doesn't rush the appointment. He takes his time. Until you are happy and understand everything with the info, he would sit right there I think.
By the way, Did I happen to mention that,
I'M GETTIN CLOSER I'M GETTIN CLOSER
Brendan Fraser eh?
hehe.. funny..
actually the first time I ever met my hubby I thought he resembled Brandon Fraser, but back then, of course, hubby had hair and was only around 205 lbs, now he's like 230 and bald
oh well, not by choice but because of them Navy folks sayin' he hadda cut it short
Anyways, glad to hear that your appointment went well, I tell ya, once you get the ball rolling in the right direction, that surgery date comes before you know it and you're on the losing side.
Take care,
Andrea
