2-Week Post-Op Checkup!!

Hey all! I'm just updating...I went to my doctor yesterday for my 2 week post-op checkup and he said I'm doing GREAT! I've really had no problems, just getting adujusted to the new eating style. And the best part, I LOST 24 POUNDS!! I am so excited!! For anyone looking for a surgeon, I highly recommend Dr. Ludwig in Biloxi (Gulf Coast Medical Center). He's a very caring guy (REAL easy on the eyes, too!!) and I just can't say enough about him. The only downfall for me is that I have to drive almost 3 hours - but to me, it's really worth it. Cheri, That is WONDERFUL new!!!!!! Congrats on the great weight loss!!!! keep up the good work!!!! OH and yeah alot of the guys in Biloxi are easy on the eyes!! hehehe!! Half of my family lives down there. Well i am so glad that you have not had any complicatons and problems I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers...just keep me in your that I will get my last appointment over with and get a date really soon...Congrats again on your great success!! Thank you so much for your congrats & prayers! You have my prayers as well and many, many wishes of good luck! I think attitude plays a major role in how you cope with the surgery and aftermath. I am so happy to say that I have had virtually no complications. I won't kid you, there is some pain, but like with anything else, it does go away! Just a note, I initially went to Dr. Ludwig the first week of August - so with everything, it took about a month (and 2 weeks of it was my fault because of vacation plans) to complete. I was very lucky because my insurance approved right away. Again, good luck to you and if I can do it, anyone can! **HUGS** Cheri

Congratulations!! Wow, 24 lbs, that's great!! Keep up the good work, and don't get discouraged if your weightloss stalls every now and then, just keep up the water and the walking, and you'll do just fine with your new tool. By the way, I have to drive 2 hours to see my surgeon, thanks to my insurance, and Gulf Coast Regional is just around the corner from me!! Ironic , ain't it? But every bit worth the drive !! Andrea
