Stacey Hux & Hulene Gray & UMC meeting
Dear folks,
The better angel (Angie Bea) and I took UMC by storm yesterday - or it took us!!! Anyways, prior to our support meeting we went visiting.
We were not able to see Stacey Hux, but we did stop by and we chatted with her nurses, who are now firmly convinced that anyone from this board is a nut case!! We asked that they give her our love, prayer support and to call if we could do anything. Hate we didn't get to see her.
We did get to see Hulene Gray. Guys, she is lonesome and homesick. If there is anyway you can call or drop her a note (email me and I'll get you the info), please do so. It will mean a lot to her. She is a very sweet lady and is sick and tired of being sick and tired. She was so delighted to have company and someone to talk to. I am going to try my best to go back and visit her each time I am in Jackson. Of course, I am not a doctor, but her color and skin tone didn't look real good. Basically she LOOKS like somebody that has been in the hospital for a long, long time.
Please keep both of these dear ladies in your thoughts and prayers.
The meeting was very informative! Kristy gave the info as Dr B could not be there. PLEASE make plans to attend next month (It will be Oct 25, the FOURTH MONDAY this time). A company is coming in to present some vitamins in spray form. EVERYONE who attends will get a free months supply of spray vitamins and B-12. Kristy says they taste great! Then there will be two drawings. I forget what the first prize is, but the other drawing will be for $5000 towards plastic surgery! BE THERE!!! The meeting last night gave lots of good info on how to get the maximum mileage out of your surgery and the possibilities of weight regain. And afterwards we hung around and talked. Angie Bea and I got to meet Melynda Han**** in person and the sweet Molly, her 3rd grader and also her best friend. I want to encourage you guys to come to these meetings because you get so much from them - not just surgery info, but lasting friendships. You are welcome to come even if you are not a patient of UMC.

PS Now, for those of you who don't know, Dr. Salameh is quite a cutie!!! And just to make you ladies jealous or envious, I got a hug from him!!!! heh, heh, heh, heh!!!! Eat your hearts out!!!!
Hey yall the other drawing is for more spray vitamins (not sure how much more). But guys I got to looks at some of the free samples that Kristi had and they even had one that was Chocolate Fudge flavored!!! Sounds good to me!!! lol Well yes it would be in everyones best interest (HINT HINT SHERRI PENN!!! LOL) to try to make plans to be at the next months meeting, cause I know that if any of you are like me you surely could use the $5000 for PS!!!! (cause I know for sure I aint got it laying around no where!!) just REMEMBER ITS THE THIRD MONDAY (October 25th) not the third Tuesday!!!!! Be there or be square!!!!!!!! Our own Amelia Vaughn is having her surgery that day so either Mrs. Arlies or myself will submit her name in the hat. She shouldnt be left out because that is her special day!

Hey Ms. Arlies,
I sure hate the fact that y'all didn't get to meet Ms Hux. But at least maybe, she knows that y'all were there to see her. And that says alot. At least the nurses know that there are people out here who do care.
By the way, nobody can prove that we ARE nuts on this board.
About Mrs. Gray, Bless her Heart. You know she has got to be tired. Just thinking about staying in the hospital that long makes me tired. I'll have to drop her a card in the mail. Maybe it will work out that when I go over there this next week, I can go by and see her.
I have put it on my calander to go next month. So many extra things came up yesterday, that it wasn't even funny. I'll have to email you all about it.
Momma was and still is sick.
Glad to hear that someone brought their child with them. Now I won't feel so bad if I have to also. Plus, you know my "39 YR OLD BABY" will be with me.
Gifts and Hugs ??? Sweetie, I've got to be there for the next meeting.
Hugs are worth the trip to anywhere.
And from a cuttie to boot... Count Me In...
