Good Luck you all...

Well, guys, looks like this Ivan the Horrible could make his way to our state... don't know about you guys but I'm headed out as soon as the evacuation order has been issued. I've never understood those who stay for a hurricane, I'm willing to bet if a Category 5 strikes the coastline, everything south of I-10 is under water, including my house that's half a mile from the beach.... Anyways, wishing you guys luck, those who have surgery the next few days, chin up, just make sure you give yourself travel time. With any luck, and cable one's "fabulous" service, I 'll be back online in a month -- if I'm lucky LOL. Thank goodness for insurance, and thank goodness all my family treasures fit in the back of my SUV Good luck everyone and protect yourselves.. don't take chances!! Hey Andrea! I feel for you! I lived on the coast for 7 years - Bay St Louis, Pass Christian, Waveland and Biloxi. We were there when Frederick and one other (I forget it's name) hit. Both were like baby hurricanes upside this one. I fear another Camille which you may be too young to remember, but have probably hear tales about - and they are all true!!! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I am old enough to remember Camille and even tho we are (and were then) approx 180 miles north of the coast, I will NEVER forget the night of Camille. So be careful, and if you come up our way, stop and say hello!!! Smoochies & Hugs Arlies BTW when I lived in Biloxi, I discovered a wonderful yarn shop in Pascagoula. Is it still there?

Prayers are being sent your way. If you have to get out, your welcome to come to my house and stay if you need to. We have plenty of room. Bring your pets too. We can take them in also. We have horses, dogs, cats, and chickens. So, your pets are welcome to stay with our pets also.

I know how you feel i lived on the coast most of my life....in wiggins and vancleave/ocean springs areas....and all my dads family lives south of I-10....oh and Arliesk the other ones name your looking for is Hailana(sp?), Opal and Erin (these 2 were in 95) I think i had just been born when Fredrick came thru but I heard it wasnt fun.... I know i hated Hailana, a tree went thru my grandma's house in biloxi, thank god she was at out house with us in wiggins....Geroge wasnt too nice either...I was in wiggins for that one too....well I am praying everyone on the coast comes thru safely...
