Newbie
Hello everyone. I am new to the board but have used the Obesity help site for alot of research in to the Bariatric surgery. I am seeing a doctor in New Orleans and have been going thru the preliminary testing. Hope to be finished soon so I can get on with the insurance approval. Has anyone had to retake the PSYCH? I am pretty sure I will come out of that looking very disturbed.
I had a Neuro-Opth appoint prior to psych appointment, my eyes were dialated and I could not see. The doc kept insisting for me to atempt to read the questions. It was really a mess 
. Then I had to drive back to Mississippi, no fun

Welcome to the board, how nice to see someone from my neck of the woods on here for a change ! What doctor are you seeing in New Orleans? I have my info on my profile, if you're interested, feel free to read through it. I took my psych eval with a doctor in Ocean Springs and he was super nice. Should you have issues with your eval's outcome and would like a second opinion, I'd gladly provide you with the name/address of the psychologist I saw. I'd love to help you with any questions you have.. and if you need an angel, just let me know, I 'd love to volunteer.

I am redoing my psycho exam, but supposedly not because I am but because my Psycho Dr sent out of date info and neglected to make any comment about my readiness to have the surgery. I have an appt on Sept 13 for that. He's my regular psycho dr, so I am not worried about it. He has already agreed that the surgery would be a good thing for me and that he saw no reason I shouldn't have it. I think EVERYBODY comes out of the psycho eval thinking they are so you probably did better than you thought!
