Arlies? Baptist recipes?

Arlies, I remember you posting about the Baptist Covered Dish Tradition. It had me rolling laughing. I was Baptist while in Atlanta for 14 years and so I could very much relate. I don't know if it was here or just a response to someone's recipe chat out on the main board. Something to do with Cream of Mushroom soup, Mayonnaise and Cool Whip. And the phrase-"If we're not eatin', we're not meetin'." Where or what was that? Looking forward to your date! Dx

Hey Dex, I could not find that post!! I remember it tho. Basically everything a Baptsit cooks and brings to pot-luck has either, cream of mushroom soup, mayo, or cool whip in it. I have tons of recipes with them in it!! "if we're not eatin', we're not meetin'" is probably said everytime a meeting is mentioned in any Baptist church in the world!!! But I think it came from a book, just don't remember...Heck, these senile moments are getting closer and closer together!!! Love ya, Arlies PS I will holler when I get the date!
