How much does the Rny Surgery cost

If you pay for your surgery and your insurance will not pay for you to have surgery, how much is it for Mississippi or have it with Dr. Roger Blake? What website can you look up your Doctors education ,and to see if there has been any law suits or claims against him?

Hi Christy, I am 11 days post op and my wonderful insurance that the county provides does not cover the surgery either. I went to Gulf Coast Medical, Dr. Ludwig. I reasearched and found that he has no law suits and also checked with his office. He has a very good track record, no losses. Gulf Coast Medical does give you a cut in the price if you are paying for it, $31,000. I heard that Dr. Blake takes pts. even if their insurance does not pay. This may be why it's such a long waiting period to get in to see him. Melinda

Dear Christy, From what I hear the cost of the surgery is anywhere from about $12,000 (mexico) to upwards of $70,000. And I don't know if that includes everything or not! Dr. Blake does take anybody regardless of insurance or not, he also takes vocational rehab, and has a financial aid form you can fill out. He will take anyone, regardless of insurance or size. He has no lawsuits pending against him nor does he have any settled suits against him - unless something has been filed in the last 2 weeks. There is a place you can look up your doctor and it will tell you about any complaints, etc., filled against your doctor. Dr. Blake doesn't have any. I don't know how often it is updated. So how are you doing? Did you get the job? I hope so. If not, don't worry one will come. I now have 2 jobs on the computer!!! I am so busy I can't think! One if the survey calling, and the other is a background check for job applicants. I think I may be moving up (they have indicated interest and there is an opening) from a surveyor in my first job to an auditor. More $$!!! WOOHOO.
