I will explain to you where/why I put black male and his age. I worked in surgeons office for quite a few years. I was an xray tech and surgeon's assistant. When ever anyone new came in the office our notes had to be written like this. (next time you are at a dr's office ask to see your chart. find the very first time you came into the office and see if you do not see this) black male 35 sudden onset of pain nki(stands for no known injury) here we would state exact complaint from patient. If you did this for years and years you would think nothing of putting that dr blake was a black male about 35. I have blacks and hispanics in my immediate family and could never be a biggot/racist. God put us all here. There will be every race in heaven. What offended me was and I Quote: Dr Blake's or Dr. Salameh's race or religion makes no difference to me if either is able to do my surgery and are competent that's all I care I will before either of them in gratitude lol but, I do remember someone saying something to the effect of "he is a black man" I really never saw what the color of his skin had to do with how good a surgeon he was or why it would even be necessary to mention the fact he is black lol, but, the sad fact is "some people" still do feel it necessary to mention. THE SAD FACT IS "SOME PEOPLE" STILL FEEL IT NECESSARY TO MENTION. What was meant by "some people" if it was not biggot/racist? This could have completely been avoided if only the person had emailed me and asked me why I thought it was necessary to put his race(and notice i put age right there with it) on my profile. If you look thru the post I even ask what came up about prejudices. I even emailed Arlies and asked her b/c I thought some post had been removed by a moderator. And then I come to find out I am the one you all are talking about and I have no clue what in the world has gone on here.

I think "some people" just have to find something to complain about. Describing someone as "black" does not imply racism. Would it be racist if a person described another doctor as "white." I don't think so. I don't know where people come up with ^%$$ like this. Referring to someone as "black," "white," "hispanic," or whatever race they are is simply a way of describing them. When someone commits a crime, check out the description of them - white male, 55 years old, blah blah blah, OR black female, 22 years old, blah blah blah. People need to get a life and concentrate on the more important things in this world than how a person describes a doctor, for heaven's sake. Don't get me started.
