Good Morning America had a segment telling about the State of Louisiana covering WLS for some of their employees. The state feels that the surgery will be cost effective in that they will pay less in the long run. The state was responding to the particularly large numbers of state employees in Louisiana that were morbidly obese. You can see the article at their web site. Great news. Hopefully Mississippi will jump on the band wagon since, Per-capita, we are the heaviest population in the country.

Dex, I agree!!! MS should agree to help pay! Especially for those of us who have no ins and cant afford ins! I also believe (my opinion!!) that if this was made available to more less fortuniate ones that the state and national unemployment rates and the obesity rates would drop drastically (once again my oponion!). I am gonna have to check out that website. Thanks for that thought!!! Thanks, Angela Blount (AngieBea)

Hey Dex, I wish MS would come around. It is so hard for some to get this surgery. Thanks for letting us know this. ARe you ready for School??? Don't forget Josh and Andy, the Murphy boys!! Smoochies to you, Arlies I know it's a long trip, but we would be thrilled if you could come to some of our support meeting - Meridian or Jackson - they are open to all.
