Type ONE Diabetes

HI my name is Kelli and I have been a daibetic since the age of 4. I am going to have the RNY surgery at Cental MS Med. Center in Jackson, MS (no date yet). I was wondering if anyone has or knows someone who has type one diabetes and has had the surgery??? I have talked to several people and have been to support meetings but have yet to meet anyone who has this same situation. I just want to know how the surgery went for them and if it helped and where there any complications after surgery with the diabetes?
