Consultation Date!
hey all,
How is everyone?fine, i hope.Well,I finally got a consultation date.I decided to see Dr.Salameh instead of Dr.Blake not because of anything i have heard but, because it seems a lot more likely to be seen sooner and to have the surgery sooner as well.Dr.Blake's office could not give me a date even for consultation the only thing they were able to tell me was that it might be before the end of the year where as i gathered
all my information and faxed it to Dr.Salameh and called two days later
to make sure they had recieved it and they had and they gave me an appoinment for the 20th of this month !.So needless to say I was shocked! just wanted to share with you all.....

I am Kristi from Meridian and I am also using Dr. Salameh. He is a wonderful guy and I hear he's a wonderful surgeon. He is an expert in the field of laparoscopic surgery. He will be doing the laparoscopic surgery on me. His secretary Susan is wonderful and her supervisor Celisa that I have talked to some is also GREAT!
You can check out my profile to get the day by day stuff but I had my first consult with him on May 4th and worked really hard to get all my pre-op appointments moved up. I believe that I have had all of my pre-op stuff done, and hope to have an appt. with him sometime this month to set a date for surgery which I hope can be in August!
If you have any questions at all feel free to email me or whatever and I will be glad to answer them for you. I know I would have loved to have known somebody that had used him to be able to see what all I had to do. Like I said, I kept a pretty detailed diary on my profile page, so check it out!

Thanks so much! If It had not been for you I would not have known Dr.Salameh even existed and I have been following your profile closely ,(not a stalker though lol ) because, I am just amazed at how fast your process seems to be moving along with Dr. Salameh and honestly lol I want mine to move along too lol but,thanks again girl!

I also am using Vocational Rehabilitation and have had a really good experience with them.
Do you go to any of the UMC Support Group meetings? Dr. Salameh told me he wanted me to go to some so I have been to each one the past two months and am planning on going to the one in July. I also belong to a Online Yahoo group with a bunch of great people in Mississippi. We would love to have you as a member. Its great to hear you finally got your consultation date! (even tho you told me on the phone...lol) I just want you to know that when you come for your consultation and your meetings (especially the meetings cause they are usually at night) that you know you always have somewhere to stay instead of having to pay for a hotel, or having to risk that 3 hour drive that late at night. well ill talk at ya later and congrats again!!!! (lol oh ps. im back at home now...and I saw your mom at the store she looks really good!)

Hey Girl!, how u durin? fine, i hope .I am going to keep that in mind what you said about somewhere to stay girl lol you may wish you had not said that ,lmao Moma does seem to be doing good she still gets tire but since they changed her meds she has lost about 30 pounds. I wonder if a med change would help me ? lol NOT! I already know better than that lol ..........Talk To Ya Later Girl...Sherry......
