I have been doing great after my liver surgery. Everything has been going great except I had 3 places on my incision that busted open. I have been having to clean them and pack them daily. One has completely filled in and now skin is growing over it. One is ready for skin to start growing and the other is still very deep and has a "tunnel" running from it. The tunnel is about an half inch long. So, Lord willing, in about a month all that will be healed. I go on the 29th for my consult with Dr Blake, I really hate that I am going to go with these wounds still open, I hope he does not hold that against me......... I am going to my pcp tomorrow to have him refer me for the psych eval and the pulmonary function test at NMMC in tupelo. My husbands grandmother passed away and we have really been tied up with all of that. The funeral was today, so maybe things will settle down and I will be back on regularly. Arlies, I was an x ray technologist until I became disabled. Donna

Donna, It is so good to hear from you. Glad you are healing, even if its not as fast as we would like for it to be. Things are getting so close for you now. I had my pulmanary and blood gases done yesterday. I see Dr. Blake on July 27, and can hardly wait. Maybe your pcp can give you something to help with your incison. Keep us posted on everything. I failed my liver test and have to have it done again July 12. I'll do whatever I have to do to get my new life. Have a blessed day. Smiles, Jan

Hi Donna, I have already been to see Dr. Blake for my consult. I just wanted to tell you that you have nothing to worry about, Dr. Blake is a wonderful man. I was really self concoius about meeting him. He does not make any judgement on anything other than the surgery things...he is wonderful. I hope you continue to heal quickly and i am also sorry to hear about your familys loss of your husbands grandmother. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Thanks, Angela Blount
