Are any support groups closer to Meridan Area?

hi everyone, I live in Meridian and although I have one friend who has had surgery about 2 yrs ago, (8 1/2 months pregnant now) I am sure there are more of us closer than Jackson. I wanted so bad to go to the Support Group that Arlies told us about, but with my work schedule I would not be there until everyone was gone. Is there a support group closer to east central MS that anyone knows about? Angie

I don't know of any, but we could make one up...We could get with some of the Meridian folks and have one in Meridian....I don't know where or when or how, but I'd be willing. We could also get some folks over from in West Alalbama. There are also some folks from Louin, Laurel, and pts south... Some of the Jackson folks might be willing to alternate between Jackson and Meridian so it is not as hard on some of us. Think about it and let's chat about it... Smoochies, Arlies

Arlies, Great Idea, are you close to Meridian? I would not even know where to begin. I would love it if we could get a more local group. It would make my life so much easier. I work retail, so my hours are usually later than 5:00 and having to travel 100 miles after working is really not too feasible. do you have aol? Angie

Yes. Someone posted a couple weeks ago about a support meeting in Meridian, but I dont remember who it was. Maybe they will come and post here soon.

Hi Angie, I am also in Meridian. And I cant go to Jackson and other places for support group meetings either. So, I think that having one in Meridian would be a great idea. I would be there with bells on! Jo

Hey! I am in Meridian also. I attend the UMC support groups b/c that is where my surgeon is, but I also am going to the Yahoo Support Group meeting in Clinton tomorrow night. I found out about 15 minutes before it started that there was a meeting in Meridian tonight, but had to work at my part time job and couldn't go. I would love to have a group in Meridian. Im In!
