Hi Frankie! This is Kristi from Meridian, MS. I am using Voc Rehab (VR) b/c my insurance wouldn't cover the surgery. I don't know if VR in Jackson works the exact same way as it does in Meridian, but I'm sure it's pretty close. Check out my profile by clicking in my name on this post and you can see step by step what I've had to do up to this point. It really helps to get your process moving if you can document your weight and attempts at weight loss for the past 10 years. I took all of the following to my first VR appt: A letter of medical necessity from my PCP (primary care physician), a printout from my pharmacy of the different diet meds and anti-depressants that i've taken for the last 10 years b/c of my weight, a copy of where I joined two gyms and how long I was a member of both, a list of all the diets I have tried (both Dr. supervised and self-supervised) and copies of my charts from different Dr's offices showing my weight over the last 10 years and how they have treated me for obesity. If you can get copies of ANYTHING related to you and your weight take it with you. They can't have too much information. If you have any questions I will be glad to answer them. Good Luck on your journey and GOD BLESS! Kristi
