Need to vent

Tonight my son called me and told me to get up to the clinic that someone had just hit him. Well I got up there and some teen age girl was TEXT MESSAGING on her phone and flying and rear ended him. It totaled her car and messed the rear end up in his pick up. Well she lied and said my son was in the left turn lane and turned right, well of course there were plenty of witnesses who saw it and told the police what really happened. Before her parents got there I went over and asked if she was ok, Well her mother and father get there and never once ask about my son or his pregnant wife. They were both hurt. He is the deacon of the Baptist church and never once asked about them. When he was walking up to his daughter who hit my son, she screamed out I f***** up your car, I am sorry. Literally screamed it, he said its ok honey. He is supposed to be this big chrisitan and even at the er, when it took one and half hours to xray my son, NEVER once asked if he was ok, once they released his daughter, he just left. That is the very reason I refuse to go to church.

Dear Donna, Well, when it rains, it pours, doesn't it?? Are your son, wife and the baby okay? I surely hope so. I am so sorry that this all happened. As for the deacon of the Baptist Church, being a member, deacon, or even a preacher does not always mean the person is a Christian - just that they claim to be. There are as many people in church who are not Christian as there are Christians, and the "pretenders" make the rest of us look bad. I think I might just have a talk with the preacher at this church. Sometimes, the preacher isn't aware of how his congreation acts out in public. I personally know some deacons that I am not sure how they can sit comfortably through a church service. My dh says they think what is being preached doesn't apply to them. That I can't understand. Then, again, I know some deacons, who are just short of perfect!! Some folks are real - and some folks are in it for the prestige. God has special plans for those who are stumbling blocks to others - such as deacons who are not what they should be. It is hard to find a good church. Everybody is human, and we all make mistakes, BUT as a deacon, I would think that they would make an effort to project Jesus in their lives - especialy since they are well-known as being a deacon. Then again, maybe the guy has about had it with the daughter (she sounds like a doozy!!) and just wasn't thinking right. Who knows? But you did the right thing by seeing how she was. I just can't believe that the daughter of a deacon would say such a thing in front of her dad!!!! Man, my Daddy - not a deacon- would have knocked me to the floor! My Mother would have been standing by with lye soap!!! Unbelievable. You, girl, take it easy. You've got enough stress without worrying about this bubble-headed girl and her dad. Love ya, Arlies PS When we were stationed in Germany, I taught 3 year olds in Sunday School. One Sunday, a baby in the nursery next door cried constantly! The baby was one of my 3 year olds' sister. During class, the 3 year old stood up and put her hands on her hips and said, "Well, God d***, that's my baby crying again!" The 3 year old and the baby were the daughters of one of the deacons!!! I told the mom what the girl had said, and she said, "I just can't imagine where she heard something like that!" Heh, Heh, Heh, I KNOW where she heard it. She stood and acted just like her mom when she said it!!!!

Yep, I can surely believe that. Those are perfect examples of why we no longer attend church. We are Christians and live for God, but choose not to be part of the hypocracy of the churches. We have visited every church around here and are sick and tired of the sinners running the church and running off the Christians. These good Christians cheat on their taxes, I know for a fact, and they run down everyone they can think of to talk about too. That is why thier church has only about 20 people and have not seen anyone get saved in years. Reminds me of the verse that people will be told I knew you not and they say we cast out demons in your name. So many profess to be Christians and know nothing about Christ.
