new here, HI!

HI everyone. I just joined this site last night actually. I already posted on the main board, and realized I should have posted here lol. Im 21 yrs old, 22 in june and have an 8 a nd a half month old son. Im really considering having this surgery, but I dont have insurance and me and my fiance arent married. Im not even sure if I was on his works insurance if it would even pay for it. Im very nervous at the moment and am trying to learn and read up on as much as possible. I havent talked about it to too many people yet because Im not sure how they'd react to it. Usually when I talk to my friends about weight loss, they tell me "oh you look fine" or something similiar, and then say how THEY need to lose weight and Im just really tired of doing hard work and not losing. Im scared to leave my son without a mother. I'd really like to get to know everyone and talk to people and get as much information as possible. THank you. =^.^= Celeste

Well, Mary Celeste, you beat me to the punch!!! I was just copying your post to put over here to tell the MS folks that we had a new MS person. There are a couple of people on here from Biloxi. Karen is one, she has some posts on this site and the main board too. I am so glad you came over and posted with us too!!! We play both boards!!! Talk with us and keep us up to date on your progress. Hey Mary, Nice to meet you.I too am like you only I have insurance but, it wont pay for the surgery so I may as well not have any at all lol.If you are serious about having the surgery then maybe you should check into Vocational Rehabilitation and see if they can help.I am checking into it because it seems like it might be my only alternative that is if they approve me.I never would have known that Voc Rehab was even an option of not for this board and the wonderful people on it lol.Ask Kristi about it , she is the one that told me what all i needed to do to check into Voc Rehab...........Sherry
