ARLIES I NEED TO ASK A QUESTION

Hello Arlies, I have really enjoyed getting to know you thru OH. This is my first post so I hope I do it right. I am trying to get referred to Dr. Blake. My PCP is at UMC, but it has been three weeks and I still haven't heard form Dr. Blakes' office. I called and talked to Pat and she didn't have anything on me yet. Hey sweetie! You have more patience than I do!!! My PCP is in Newton, MS! and I was told that my referral and medical records would be faxed to Dr. Blake on a certain day. Well, it wasn't. I called Dr. Blake and talked with Daphne Luckett. She said nope had gotten it. So I called my PCP back and said please fax this info. They said, we are doing it right now. Next day, I called Daphne again and asked do you have it? Nope. So I called my PCP office again and said, they didn't get it. Please refax. They said, Oh we are sending it now, we got busy yesterday and didn't get it down. I spent about a week calling Daphne everyday and being told it wasn't there, then calling the PCP and they were faxing it then! Finally I guess they gave up and faxed it. Sometimes you just have to stay on them!!! I didn't get ugly with them, I acted like I thought they really were faxing it everyday, but somehow it wasn't being received.....and that does happen!! SO CALL THEM, CALL THEM, CALL THEM!!!!!! Dr. Blake's office is extremely busy, but they are very prompt with answering questions and getting back to you. I'm glad you are part of the family. You did an excellent job of posting. Now that you have gotten the hang of it, post often!!!! Smoochies Arlies

My pcp faxed my stuff to the wrong office. I kept calling them and they would say wait a full month. Well.... after the full month I called Daphne and guess what? No they had not received it. I called the pcp back and the nurse was really ugly to me. I told her what Daphne said and she said no we dont do things like that, I will call her myself. Well, she called me back and told me she was sorry, I had told her right. So I had waited a month for nothing. Do like Arlies, call every day until Daphne says she gets it. Keep on that pcp, the wait is long enough without them dragging around. This is our heath, and our lives.
