I'm a Perfect Candidate per my surgeon, lol

Hi all! I met with Dr. Salameh today for the first time and he said that I'm a Perfect Candidate for the Gastric Bypass Roux-en-Y! YIPPEEEEE!! He even went on to say that he will perform the Laparoscopic surgery on me which is wonderful since I have to take time off work without pay! I just have to say that Dr. Salameh and his staff are wonderful (and he's really good looking, lol). They all have the best personalities and really seem to care about you. Anyhoo...I have to go to the Obesity Clinic, Psych Eval, and Sleep Study...then Im clear to set a date. He said probably about 6 months for now! Well, I've been overweight for almost 31 years so 6 months is a breeze, lol. Thank you all so much for your prayers and concern! ~God Bless~ Kristi

Yeah!!!! Is Dr. Salameh in UMC?? They are a good group and taught by one of the very best, Dr. Blake - my surgeon!!! You know they are opening another bariatric surgery room this summer so that will speed things up for us!!! Smoochies & Hugs Arlies

Hey Arlies Yes, Dr. Salameh is with UMC. He specializes in Laparoscopic Surgery and is the one that brought the Lap Surgery Lab to UMC and he teaches the Med students how to use it. He is going to perform Lap Roux-en-Y on me. Im excited about the new operating room! Maybe that will get me in quicker. I, like you, am ready to get the show on the road! lol. You mentioned being a part of the UMC support group. Dr. Salameh told me he wanted me to attend meetings and that he thought they met certain Tuesdays of the month. I couldn't find any info on the net. Do you know when they meet and where? Im anxious to start going to them. Thanks and God Bless Kristi

I don't have any info about the support meetings other than we will be required to go and Dr. Blake goes to each one, I've heard. I think we will get more info further down our roads.. Smoochies Arlies
