Why is UMC not listed on ...

Why is UMC not listed on the Hospital list of ones doing Biartric Surgery????

I would imagine that it's not there because no one has reviewed it yet. I will be having my surgery there some day!! I had my initial consult on April 13 - after waiting for 6 months. I really like Dr. Blake...not real wild about the hospital set up. It is so far from place to place and hard to get help. Also there is not a lot of people active on the MS board. I don't think any of the active members had their surgery at UMC. I hope that helps. Arlies

I am a few months behind Arlies so that will be 2 of us that can post about umc. I go for my consult on June 22 and I can not wait. Do you realize that Dr Blake is the one who teaches others to do the surgery? That makes me feel alot better about going to UMC. I graduated from there and the hospital was very run down looking, but that comes from being a state hospital. I sure wish they would give it a big face lift and make it pretty there. Donna

I too will hopefully be having my surgery at UMC. I am using Dr. Salameh though. I have my first consult with him this Tuesday May 3rd YEEEAAAHHH! I'll keep ya'll posted. He is the surgeon that brought the laparopcopic lab to UMC and teaches the students there how to use the instruments. I hope to have the LAP procedure done to quicken my recovery time b/c I am having to take time of work without pay .
