Where are ya'll? Check in time.
The cyst is a complex cyst, meaning it is a large cyst with small cyst inside it.
I went to a surgeon LAST year at north ms medical center in tupelo and he said oh, no big deal, just leave it alone.
Well 9 months later it is just smaller than a basketball. Yes I did mean to type basketball. It is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to another dr who sent me to the liver transplant dr in birmingham and he said it had to come out very soon. That the small cyst always turn into cancer. Well, the nurse at my dr in tupelo never sent my x rays to him. He wanted to do surgery next week and she never sent my x rays so now it has had to be post poned.
A supervisor called me yesterday from x ray in tupelo and said that the nurse said i never brought the films to the clinic and that the nurse said theymeaning xray lost them. But the clerk in x ray had documented that i took the x rays upstairs to the dr visit with me and wanted to know who was telling the truth. So that crazy nurse has lost my films.
Well while in the hospital the other night they did a new ct scan and i mailed it m yself to birmingham. I did not go back to tupelo hospital, i went to my local hospital. I am so mad at that nurse I could........
So at any rate i am home hurting like crazy and that nurse is trying to cover her butt, but she got caught b/c I told the lady I handed those films to XXXXX when she called me back into the exam room.
It is so big that it has pushed my stomach down real low and that is were i got the nasty rash from. I can no longer wipe when going to the bathroom b/c i can not bend foreward. My stomach is so big and it is very tight and i am so thankful I read on the site about the tongs and baby wipes. This is really embarrassing, but I am having to have my husband wash for me. I can not turn to wash my backside, if I turn my upper body the least little bit I catch a bad cramp and can not get it to let up.
To say the least I am miserable.
Hi all! This is Kristi in Meridian, MS.
I am going through Voc Rehab and was originally told that there is only one doc (Dr. Blake) in MS that still accepts VR as payment. I have sent my paperwork to his office and am awaiting a response. I am sure that his waiting list is looooooooong. I was told 4-5 months just to get the initial consult and possibly 9-12 months for a surgery date.
I have found a Dr. Salameh that is also at UMC and accepts VR and have talked to his office staff, Felecia and Susan (they are GREAT). I emailed him at UMC and told him about me and HE ACTUALLY EMAILED ME BACK THE NEXT DAY and said that he would be glad to look at my paperwork and have his secretary set up a consult with him. He seems to be a really caring Dr. but he is new to Mississippi and not too many people know too much about him. Im going to wait until next week then call back to his office and see how things are progressing. I don't want to bug them.
I have heard this is a long and slow process and I think going through VR makes it even longer and slower....but patience is a virtue ... and I have none! lol
Keep me in your prayers and I'll keep all of you in mine.
I am using Dr. Blake in Jackson. No surgery date yet. Had my initial consult April 13 after a bazillion year wait!!!! Well, more like 5 or 6 months! Had my pulmonary study and psychiatrist clearance. My appt for obestiy/nutrition is June 10. Yep, it is SSSSSSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW.
But Dr. Blake is wonderful. I really like him, and all his staff so far!!

oh yeah, Dr. Blake told me they are building another operating room this summer so that will speed things up for some of us.
