Update on Karen Barrett Original Post by Sharon Neva at 7:18 PM PST on 04/23/2004 WA - RNY (06/20/2002) Just talked to Karen on the phone. She is still in the hospital. She's had some problems- low potassium, problems with her heart rate, dehydration, allergic reaction to valium, infection at her IV site. She's hurting pretty good right now... but, she is feeling a little better than a couple of days ago. She's still got a "Karen" attitude. (Just pity the fool that ever tells her that surgery is the "easy way out") She doesn't know when she's going to get out. She asked me to say hi to everyone and she's seen a printout of some of the threads about her updates and she was very touched by everyone's love and concern. Sharon Reach for the Stars
