Karen's surgery - Repost from main board

There were no problems during the actual surgery and it went faster than they anticipated. She was doing well - her first comment was that she thought a horse had stepped on her gut - and it must of been a Clydesdale! But, they gave her the "happy" button and she's sleeping now. Why is she in ICU? Is that standard? Donna

WEll its standard at the hospital I was in Vicksburg to make sure that someone is always there just in case there are in incidences of leaks...
