There are so few of us
Since there are so few of us I thought we should get to know each other better.
I am Donna. I live in North East MS. I am using DR Blake in Jackson at UMMC.
My first consult appointment is June 22.
I am currently going to Univ of ALa for liver surgery. I have already had gb surgery, so I am sure I will have to have open.

hello there, I am from Kentucky but I am moving to Gulfport sometime this year. I was going in July but now I am going to wait till I have the surgery and get over it first. I want to know where there are support meetings there in that area that I can go to. I am having a revision so not sure how long the process will take but I don't think as long as the first time. I am looking so forward to moving down there wi**** was sooner but this wait will be worth it and then maybe I can get a better job when I get there. hope to talk soon.
thanks
Julie
Hey there Donna. I'm Mary. I was banded in June 2001 with the nonadjustable band per Dr. Molina in Houston, TX. Within 6 months I'd lost 140 pounds ...then I got pregnant and had lots of problems with vomiting, malnutrition, etc (the band wasn't adjustable, so my restriction was never reduced). After he was born, I lost another 30 pounds in 2 months. I ended up having a twisted stomache beneath my band (because of the vomiting) and had it removed November 2002. Since then, I've gained 140 pounds back. I'm trying to get the adjustable lap band. I was self-pay before and will be self-pay again (my insurance is through bluecross of ms which will not pay for any weight loss measures).
how frustrating, eh? I really wish i'd never had mine removed. i loved it.
oh yeah. heh. i live in the jackson, MS area...am a nurse. and have a terrific little boy.

Wow, I am so sorry you had to go thru so much. I can only imagine how it feels to have gained it all back again. YOu seem to have the best attitude though. I am so glad you did not give up, and have decided to keep the fight. YOu go girl. What in inspiration.
Who are you gonna get to do your next band?
