The writer of Ecclesiastes has a lot of wisdom thoughts. The way he is talking about how things are then, you’d think he was talking about today. Seems people and situations back then have not changed coming into today’s situations. He does have some good wisdom advice though. The Teacher tells us that people are not fair to one another. Instead, they are cruel. Some people work too much. Other people are too lazy. Some people have no friends. Other people become famous and they have many friends. But it does not seem to matter who we are. It does not seem to matter what we do. The things that happen in our lives seem to happen for a reason. God has a reason for everything; sometimes we may not know that reason for awhile or maybe never, but always know that things happen for a reason. God wants us to enjoy life and enjoy our time down here on earth. For having joy, they joy of the Lord, gives us strength, the kind of strength we cannot obtain anywhere else.

"I create the fruit of the lips…"
(Isaiah 57:19, KJV)
Did you know that your words are like seeds? They have creative power. In the future, we will eat the fruit of our words. That means our words are going to produce exactly what we're saying.
That's why it's so important to make positive declarations over our lives every single day. We should say things like "I am blessed. I am prosperous. I am healthy. I am talented. I am creative. I am wise." When we do this, we are standing in agreement with God's Word. We are sowing good seed. We are preparing our future for when we arrive.
Today, make sure you are sowing good seed with your words. Speak God's Word which is truth that will set you free. Let His Word fill your heart and mind and direct your mouth with what to say. Set yourself up for success in your future and pave the way for victory with your words today!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, thank You for Your Word which is truth that sets me free. Help me to guard my words and sow good seed into my future. I choose to hide Your Word in my heart. Keep me close to You and direct my steps. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

One thing that really stuck out to me in reading the Old Testament this morning is that even though things might go wrong for us or things might not go our way right now we still need to follow God and obey Him. He knows what He is doing. As long as we’ve given Him control of our lives everything will be just fine.
Proverbs kind of goes along with the Old Testament in telling us to listen to the words of the wise and apply the instruction the wise gives us to our hearts and that its good to keep these wise instructions in our heart and on our lips ready to use for the Lord is teaching us words of wisdom.

"And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!"
(James 3:10, NLT)
Did you know you have the power to bless or curse your future? Your words have tremendous power. If you go around saying things like "I don't have what it takes. I'm so clumsy; I can't get anything right. I'm so undisciplined. I'll probably never lose this weight," you just cursed your future. No, we've got to be extremely careful about what we allow to come out of our mouths. Realize your words are setting the direction for your life. Let me ask you today, which direction are you going? Are you declaring good things? Are you blessing your life, speaking words of faith over your future? Or, are you going around saying negative things like "Nothing good ever happens to me. I'll probably never get out of debt. I'll never break this addiction?"
Today, choose to bless your future. Choose to declare what God says. As you align your words with His Word, you're setting your future up for success. You're preparing your way for victory, and you will fulfill the destiny He has planned for you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, I choose to speak blessing over my future. I choose to speak life over my future. Thank You for equipping me with everything I need to fulfill the destiny You have prepared for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Jan, I can surely relate to you and your doubts. You have to think positive and believe both of them will turn their lives around. Since I learned my son is an alcoholic 5 years ago, it's been a roller coster ride. All the time he was in rehab this summer, I wondered if it would work. He has had so many legal problems and it's all because of his drinking. I wondered if there really was a God and did he ever listen to me.
Greg seems to be doing well. My DH and him have gotten really close and talk every day. Greg is able to open up to him and Max seems to have a calming effect on him. I'm beginning to relax a little.
My GD is coming over tomorrow afternoon and we're going to play. We will watch movies and I'm not going to worry about any housework. I was going to start painting tomorrow but now I'll wait until Tuesday.

Our small town community has been deal two tragic deaths within the past two weeks. Yesterday afternoon a 7 year old boy was struck and killed by an SUV right across from the High School. The boy is the child of the Vice Principal of the High School. Apparently, he was crossing the busy street to go to his Dad's office (which he did everyday after school). He wasn't on the cross walk and he walked between two cars. The driver didn't see him. Two weeks ago a 16 year old boy was killed when he ran a stop sign and was t-boned by a truck. The boy was killed instantly. The father/son who were in the truck are still in crictical condition. Please pray for our community. We are griefing. The day after the teenager was killed, there were over 100 kids who met in front of the high school to pray for the family. Jake told me last night the Football team prayed for Mr. Meyers family (the one who lost his 7 year old son last night). I am so thankful we live in a community who still turns to the one and only GOD!!
One of my "girls" have been sick this week. Roxie was vomiting and had dierriah. Took her to the vet Wednesday. They ran bloodwork and everything looked okay except she was severly dehydrated. The lady vet gave her fluids and two shots - one for vomiting and another antibotic shot. She sent home antibotics and pills for vomiting. Thankfully she is a lot better today. I'm thinking she's going to have to have a bath and get her teeth brushed today! :)
I've gotta get busy and pick up my house. We are watching our grandson, Kameron, today. His Mom and her Mom, Grandma, Aunts and Cousins are all going to NE/IA to go flea market shopping. We haven't seen Kam in quite awhile so we're looking forward to it. Just hope he behaves himself!! I'd hate to be having to correct him all weekend!
DH is sick. He's got that bronchotis again. He's on antibotics and is getting a little better. Just hope we dont get it.
Luke is coming home for the 3 day weekend as well. That means Brad will probably be here too! Needless to say, I've gotta get my kitchen and living room picked up. Doesn't have to be perfect but it definitely needs to be cleaned a little!
Mama Jan - I will continue to pray for Michelle. We've got to trust that God is in control and that He has brought that pastor into their lives to help guide them. Now if they will only do what He (God) tells them to do! One day at a time...that's all we're suppose to worry about.
MO Peeps - Hope you all have a good and safe holiday weekend. Remember to tell the ones you love that you love them and if you can give them a big hug and kiss EVERYDAY! You never know what will happen in this world we live in!
Love all of you!
