GOD BLESS YOU TODAY

I'm four weeks out from surgery and a couple of weeks ago I noticed that I had two dime sized lumps in my stomach right below my belly button (had Roen-Y), in the area that they kept giving my the Heparin shots. Over this weekend, one or both of the little lumps have started "vibrating". It happens when I move and even when I am sitting and not moving. It feels like when your foot falls asleep and you get the pins and needle feeling. I go to the dr on Tuesday, but was wondering if anyone else had heard of or dealt with this.
Thanks!
Jan

I didn’t think it has been 3 days since I posted the daily reading, my how time flies when you busy. The first week of classes has gone really well, I think I have more reading to get done then I’ve ever read in the life, haha. I told Susan I keep this up and I’ll be wearing out a pair of glasses in no time lol. I do apologize for not keeping up with the posts, things are getting settled and I should be able to keep up daily. I hope everyone is having a good weekend, here it’s been really nice, kind of warm in the late afternoons but before long we’ll be complaining it’s too cool lol. Y’all have a great week.

Today’s Reading
Isaiah 6:1-7:25
2 Corinthians 11:16-33
Psalm 54:1-7
Proverbs 23:1-3
Daily Devotional
"But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your loving kindness in the morning, For You have been my stronghold and a refuge in the day of my distress"
(Psalm 59:16, NAS)
Everyone goes through situations and cir****tances in life that can cause distress, worry or anxiety. The key to overcoming these situations is exactly what David did in today's verse. Even though David's very life was at stake, He knew that His source of strength and victory was in His worship. He knew that He would find refuge during the day of distress as He sang praises to the Most High God.
No matter what you're facing in life today, realize that there's no better place for you to be than in the presence of Almighty God. Everything you need is found in Him. When you begin to worship Him, when you call upon His name, He promises to be near you. And when God shows up on the scene, the enemy must flee! Today, if you've been fighting discouragement, worry or anxiety, cast those cares on the Lord. Come into His presence with singing and enter His courts with praise. Let Him be a refuge for you and give you the strength you need to overcome every obstacle in Jesus' name!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, I humbly come before You today. I declare that You are good and faithful. I will sing of Your love and mercy. Fill me with Your strength and joy as I worship You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Today’s Reading
Isaiah 8:1-9:21
2 Corinthians 12:1-10
Psalm 55:1-23
Proverbs 23:4-5
Daily Devotional
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you"
(Isaiah 60:1, NIV)
Today, God wants to exceed your expectations! He has amazing things stored up for you. He wants to take you places that you've never dreamed and do things in your life that you've never imagined. His glory is rising upon His people. Things are going to fall into place so that you can accomplish what God has placed in your heart. Even the hidden dreams that you've given up on, God has not given up on. He is going to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all you could ask, think or imagine! Now is the time to arise and shine in Him!
Your mind may try to talk you out of it, but if you'll listen with your heart, it will resonate on the inside of you. Don't let discouragement hold you back or keep you down. Rise up every morning and declare, "Today is the day that the Lord has made." Choose to rejoice in Him. Choose to expect His goodness. Choose to arise and shine and receive every spiritual blessing He has in store for you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, I come to You today with an open and humble heart. Thank You for choosing me and for preparing a bright future for me. I will arise and shine. Let everything I do bring honor to You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Sunday
There has been many times lately that I have not felt like being thankful or felt like praying, my mind tells me “what good is it when you feel like this…" That’s just the devil talking. I’m finding out when I thank God ahead of time for the Victory, it sets my mind up to be thankful and to expect the Victory to happen and it does. One of my favorite scriptures to confess when I’m down or things are not going like I think they should is I Cor. 15:57 “But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." I’ve found even when I’m in the public like in walmart or where ever and I start getting discouraged I’ll just start saying “Thanks be to God who gives ME the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." I’ll say that over and over and over, people prolly think I’m crazy but oh well, I know when Im thanking God for the victory in advance it’s gonna happen, it sends that ole devil running with his tail tucked between his legs. Also there’s a song I will sing over and over and over with that same scripture in it, I’m determined one way or another to get the victory.
Today’s Reading

2 Corinthians 12:11-21
Psalm 56:1-13
Proverbs 23:6-8
Daily Devotional
"The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day"
(Proverbs 4:18, NLTT)
Are you facing a situation that seems dark today? As a believer, God promises that your path will shine brighter and brighter as you seek His truth and righteousness in every situation in your life.
How do you seek righteousness? Righteousness is simply being in right standing with God. When you submit your life to Him and choose to obey His commands, you are seeking His righteousness, and you are on the path of the righteous! Just like today's verse says, the light of God's Word will shine brighter and brighter and will guide you in every decision you have to make.
Today, take time to ask the Lord to shine His light on you. Ask Him to confirm His plan for you. When you make His Word a priority in your life, you will experience more of His blessings. You'll see those brighter days as you move forward in the good plan He has in store for you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, I know that You have a wonderful plan and purpose for me. I desire to be in right standing with You. Show me Your ways and teach me to walk righteously before You. Shine Your light in my heart and give me strength to pursue the path You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Jan, glad to hear your daughter and BF are doing well. My son got a job and starts today. It's at a pizza place not far from his home. He has experience running a pizza shop. He's so enthused. He's always been a mechanic but has carpal tunnel in both wrists so he's up for a change. He can't go back to Firestone until he gets his driver's license back. If this job works out he will stay. Both owners have full time jobs so they want someone to manage the place. If Greg works out, they will make him a partner and give him 24% of the profits. I'm sure that's far off, but it's something for him to work towards. The pay is almost what he was making at Firestone.
I turned off the AC and opened windows. It makes my nose stuffy but we're saving on electricity. Max got my swing put together so I sat out on the deck and read. It's very comfortable.
My new Chili recipe was very good. Next time I'll cut back on the tomatoes. It called for 4 cans of stewed tomatoes and 2 can of beans with 2 lbs. of meat. I don't like chunks of tomatoes so I used diced tomatoes with green chilies. Really 1 can of tomatoes would have been enough unless you really like tomatoes and I don't. I used 3 cans of beans. It was really good.
My vacation went so quickly. Wish I had another week.
