Jenny Dr. H will give you a better answer than that ....sometimes he is in a hurry about things. i would suspect that your liver was enlarged and he had to find a way around it....but then im not a surgeon so dont know ....i had 5 stab wounds as i called them....only one of them was sore inside and that was the site where they put the camera in i think.....wow for him to take 5 hours is a long long time,...i would imagine he would have opened you up if you had had a different surgeon. Dr. H is one of the very best and will bend over backwards to keep from doing open surgery.....

I had LAP RNY, I was told 5 or 6 puncture sites, when I awoke I have 9? Why? I hurt way more then I should. I asked the surgeon he just said it was a hard surgery took over 5 hours. No real answer...

so give me your best answer..I am still moving way slow, lots of pain.. I have a high pain tolerance, I cannot believe this has slowed me down.

Thanks in advance!

Today’s Reading

Isaiah 19:1-21:17
Galatians 2:1-16
Psalm 59:1-17
Proverbs 23:13-14

Daily Devotional

"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ"
(2 Corinthians 10:5, NIV)

So many people today are not really enjoying their lives because of the condition of their minds. They constantly dwell on negative, destructive, harmful thoughts. They don't realize it, but the root cause of many of their problems is simply the fact that their thought life is out of control. They just dwell on any thought that comes.

More than ever, we have to understand that our lives follow our thoughts. If you think negative thoughts, then you're going to live a negative life. If you think discouraging, hopeless thoughts, can't-do-it thoughts, mediocre thoughts, then your life is going to go down that exact same pathway. That's why we have to take captive every thought and renew our minds with the Word of God on a daily basis.

I want to challenge you today to think about what you're thinking about. Don't let those self-defeating thoughts linger in your mind. Instead, speak God's promises over your life. Declare what He says about you. Take captive every thought and renew your mind daily. As you do, you'll be empowered to move forward into the abundant life He has for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, today I choose to take captive every thought. I choose to renew my mind according to Your Word. Holy Spirit, thank You for being my teacher and helper. I invite You to direct me in the way that I should go. Help me fulfill my destiny. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Well, I wish I would have wrote down your name ......but I had an encourager on here that convinced me to check out the possibilities of getting a revision down to my RNY Gastric Bypass that I had done in 2004.

SO HERE IS A SHOUT OUT TO YOU !!!!! WHOEVER YOU ARE!!!

So the newest and most exciting thing in the whole world is:

1.) Had the revision surgery done on March 10, 2010

2,) to day I went for my six month check up with Dr. Chris Eagon here in St. Louis

3.)  Was please to find out my weight is now down down  down by 93 pounds and my BMI rate is now 37.9.

So I had jumped over to  more morbidly obese levels and now in the JUST OBESE LEVEL.... I am jumping for joy;

4.)  My pants size has gone down form a size 26/28  to a 16 / 18  LIKE    O   M   G   !!!!!

you should have seen the eyes at the lady at Walmart when I kept taking in small clothes ....I was crying (good tears) she thought I must be crazy because she thought I just couldn't;t decide but the fact is I didn't know what size to try on with all this weight loss,

Keep me in your thoughts and prayers as my success becomes more and more apparent.

Hi everyone,

This Friday the 17th is our monthly Circle of Friends meeting.
Where: Library Center Mtg Rm A/B, Springfield, MO
Time: 6:30pm-8pm

These meetings are for anyone interested in any type of surgical weightloss, those who have had surgery to lose weight, and anyone who supports someone in those categories.
We are not associated with ANY surgical weightloss program...members have had surgery in MANY different places. We are patient run and have many long term post-ops as well as new people at each meeting.

Please feel free to join us this week!!! It's a very laid back atmosphere and we exist to meet the needs of each other, support each other, and be amongst peers who "get it." There's just something about having a Circle of Friends who won't judge and who understand your struggles. Come learn. Come share. Come.

I'm still kicking!  I had my arms done and my chest lifted last Thursday.  I have to say this is worse than my tummy tuck.  I think its mostly the incisions in my arm pits.  They rub on each other.  Funny but I have maxi pads in my arm pits to keep the rubbing down. LOL  I go tomorrow to get the staples out. He just used some in my arm pits to keep the tension off. I'm thrilled with my results. Even though I'm very swollen its amazing the difference.  I even went down a cup size in my bra from having the extra skin removed from the sides of my chest.  I'm so done with surgery for a few months. I'm going to let my body catch a break and then its back on.  I have a couple more things I want to get done.  One thing leads to another.  Real estate has been slow this last month for me. Good time to have surgery I guess.  I went to Houston and then my boyfriend came here over labor day weekend with his daughter.  We went to silver dollar city and the landing. Did some shopping.  The girls hung out and we got to go out for sushi one night. It was a great weekend.  Fast though.  I'll be heading back to Texas next week.  I hope all is well with everyone.  I'm ready to get back to driving.  You don't realize how much you miss something until you can't do it.  I hope everyone is well! Have a great day! I've got to go prop my arms up. Lou :D
