Having RNY today. Very relaxed about it. My thoughts are on how I will feel after surgery and recovery time. Dr. De La Tore.

Hi Robert;

Glad to hear from you and Congrats on your Surgiversay!!! It is good to hear from another "Oldie" LOL. Good to hear you are doing well. It is nice to do things I only sit and thought about wanting to do. I have so much more energy now. I am taking my vitamins so much better now that Dr. H told me to take them all together. I know it not always the best but like he agreed with me that getting what I do is much better than none. I am so bad about stopping to take them or remembering them. If you ever have a question you think I can answer please email me I will be happy try and answer any of them. Again, CONGRATS!!!!!

Hugs; Barbara

Topic: Wow, This is my Home Team for sure!

Hi all,

I started my liquid diet today and will have surgery at WMMC on December 10. My head is spinning, it came so fast. Dr. Kenny is my Surgeon.

I just thought I would introduce myself and then I am off to read all the goodies in the Missouri forum.  I had no idea how much of the local area I would see when I jumped on board.  Until now, I have been hanging out in the 'WLS-over50' forum.  I glad I decided to peek in.

It looks like I will be getting to know a few of you! :-)

Topic: RE: Hematologist in MO??

I had similar numbers, and have been a patient of Dr. Kraetsch at SSM Cancer Care, off Kisker in St. Peters.  I finally got my numbers up to a low normal.

Topic: Hematologist in MO??

I'm 8 years post RNY, and have a ferritin of 4-7. My surgeon is not concerned with this as my H&H is still normal.  I have some symptoms that I think are related to the ferritin.  I would like to see a Hematologist who has experience with WLS patients... any suggestions? I'm near the St Louis area.  Thanks!
