I admire you for having such faith in God. I'm doing better but I still have times when I want to question him. When I get those thoughts, I quickly tell myself not to waver in my faith but to believe in him.
The dinner theatre is nice but not something I want to attend all the time. A couple times times a year is enough for me. Some of the plays are too silly for me.
Don't know if you saw my message last week. I'm off Thanksgiving week so could get together one of those days.

You sound so excited about getting back on the road driving. I would sure be out of luck if i had to depend om me to drive ....i can barely stay awake to drive to Forsyth....even with my pills to keep me awake, there is just something about driving or riding that makes me sleep...lol

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
Good morning OH,
It's actually Monday Morning, been up since about 5:00 a.m. I think everyone stayed up late last night, so am pretty sure will be later getting up. My DD has a small 2 1/2 bedroom house and we are totally full up.
Debbie D, and Jo~wish I could have made time to meet up with you somewhere, we have been busy getting things done before services and then taking care of the kids is a full time job. Will be connected to the internet on the truck and will probably get through KC quit often, so will stay in touch with you and try to have a get together some how.
Jan~Love venison, so glad to hear you tolerate it well. I actually used to use it in place of beef in chili and stews as well as just making pot roast, or frying it in the skillet for breakfast. My DS is up north of here this morning, is determined to take a trophy buck home, still haven't figured out how he will get the coolers he will have to buy into my van, with the kids, me and his wife and all the stuff we came up with it will be next to impossible to transport home.
I have gotten stuff like that in the mail and like you called the number and was told the same thing Jo said, those are computer generated and since they don't have people to go door to door selling magazines anymore they send what I think are fraudelent (sp?), in the mail, hoping that simple people like us will pay for the subscriptions and not question them. Was told to ignore them, I think they need to be made illegal, if nothing else they can cause more stress for a person that may not be working or may be concerned that someone has gotten their info and ordered the mags, and now they would have to pay for them.
Debbie D.~ How awful about the check, so sorry you had to go through that. I sure hope that the boss will make all things right for you and David. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.
Jo~HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU too, I know several people with bds in November, two of my Grandbabies one on the 15th, the other on the 23rd. Will celebrate Little Dan's next week end since we had to be up here, but better late than never.
Well need to get a protein shake and start getting my self ready for the day, will see as many of you Friday as can make it to the meeting, everyone have a good week.
HUGS TO ALL OF YOU
Jan~Yes who-ever downloads my info has to send it to DOT. I think I also have to have a printed version in my possesion, in case of accident or just getting pulled in at a weigh station for them to check me out.
I had no idea that they had gotten so technical with the SA machines, but think it's a good idea, at least they can keep track of the use of the machine.
I thought about sending Deb and Jo a PM, but am here with my middle son and 4 of his kids, we are so tied up, won't have time for much more than the services this afternoon and then have to get back home, he has to work in the morning and since this was my week end to dispatch, I need to be home to take the phones tonight and possibly tomorrow night.
Love you, hope to see you Friday night.
HUGS
Well, it's been an interesting weekend. Friday at around 3:15 our bank called to tell me that my husband's paycheck dated 10/29/2010 was returned NSF!! Needless to say, I had until 5pm to make a quick deposit. I immediately called David. He has been working as a 1099 for the same company since August 2009. He's been doing most of the superintendent's job and not getting paid much for it. David immediately called his boss and told him he was leaving. He then called the CFO of the company (who we have known for about 15 years and were members of the same church for many of those years). Burt was not very helpful. He then texted David and told him to go the the main office in OP. Well, when David got there the owner had the check written out but refused to sign it. Needless to say, David was LIVID! He told them that he would be back Monday morning and they now owed him ONE MONTH of wages! Yes, payday is tomorrow. I am so disappointed in how our friend, the CFO, handled the situation. He acted like it was David's fault that the check bounced!! What the heck!!??
Thankfully, Jake was home and he helped me gather some items to take to a local pawn shop. PTL we got enough $$ out of the stuff we pawned and got it put into the back to cover everything and give us a little bit of a buffer. Burt did call David after he had left the main office and told him it was a big misunderstanding and to turn around and go back and get the check. Well, it was pouring down rain, I already had the $$ put into the bank (just in the nick of time) so David told Burt no, he would get the money Monday. He also told him it needed to be for the two weeks paycheck that bounced and the last two weeks - one month of wages plus the $120 it's going to cost us to get our stuff out of the pawn shop due to THEIR BAD CHECK!!
We were planning on going to Jamesport Saturday and spending the night at a new B&B right outside of town. We were going to celebrate my Birthday which is tomorrow. Well, we had to cancel those plans. I will tell you that before the bank called me I had been spending the last hour praying and thanking the Lord for His goodness and asking him to continue to strengthen our marriage and to guide and direct us in all things - including David's job situation. The phone call came right after I had finished talking to the Lord.
I had to scramble but the Lord provided a way to get the funds into our bank and just in time too. David and I have prayed a lot about this situation this weekend and we both feel at peace. David's boss called him yesterday morning and told him everything had been worked out. Then David's boss's boss text him and said he would have David's checks to him first thing Monday morning downtown. Well, he usually doesn't come downtown until early afternoon. David has decided he's going to go get his checks, take them to their bank and cash them. He's going to tell them he's done with being a 1099 and if they get the funding and really want to make good on all the "promises" they have promised him then maybe he'll be back. I feel at complete peace about it. I know that comes directly from the Lord!! Somehow, someway, God will provide, He always does.
I will ask that all you prayer warriors out there continue to pray. David has been without a regular W2 job for over 2 years now. It has been very stressful. That's what the peace I have has to come from the Lord! There is no other way to explain it!
Our church family had their Thanksgiving dinner tonight. I LOVE my church family and feel so blessed to have all of them in our life's. One of the deacons asked us if we needed any financial help. David told him no but we do thank them for asking. You know the bible says the church is suppose to do that. If all the churches would do their part there really wouldn't be much need for welfare or food stamps. Something to think about! Just as we were leaving one of our church member's daughter's had a grand mall seizure. We had to call an ambulance which got them within like two minutes. They transported her to a local hospital. Her name is Donelle, please remember her and her family in your prayers. I talked to her sister a few minutes ago and she came out of the seizure in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. They weren't sure whether or not they were going to keep her tonight or not.
We had some youth and a couple of the youth leaders come over after the dinner and we played some games. I LOVE to play games and had so much fun! The Youth had a lock in Friday night. They had 19 teenagers and everyone had a GREAT time! Our new Pastor was the former Youth Pastor at a church in OP. So their old church let us use their building. We have 10 acres of land which has been paid for about 10 years now. We also have almost $800,000 in the bank for the building. We're hoping to get everyone on the same page and start building soon!!
Mama Jan - Do you make deer jerky? I have never really liked deer meat, but David and the boys LOVE it! I have had deer jerky and I did like it. Deer meat has always tasted gamy to me. Is there a special way you prepare it? I've heard it is really good lean protein for us. If I could find a way to prepare it that it wouldn't' taste wild, then I might like it. I sure wish I could come Friday to the CFO, just can't do it. David's step-dad's daughter is having a surprise 90th Birthday Party for him this next Saturday the 20th. What do you get a 90 year old man who has everything he could ever want or wanted? I really could use some ideas if you have any!
Jo - Happy Birthday To YOU! My Birthday is tomorrow. My MIL sent me 2 precious moments figures. David took me to Houlihan's today after church. I signed up on their website and they sent me a coupon for up to $15 off an entree'. They had an all you can eat brunch today. It had everything from breakfast foods to prime rib. It was sooooo good and we truly enjoyed spending the afternoon together.
I've never been to the Dinner Theater but we may have to try and do that! Glad you enjoyed yourself and was even able to have a SF dessert! Hope you had a GREAT Birthday!
MO Peeps - I really hope that some of you will start posting again. I am so guilty of reading all the posts everyday and simply not taking the time to post. I'm going to try and do better. Today I really wanted to let you all know what's going on in my life and ask you to continue to pray for us. If it weren't for the Lord, I would have went crazy a long time ago! Praise God that even though the world seems to have gone crazy, that HE is still on HIS THRONE and because of the blood of Jesus we can approach his throne boldly! GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME! ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!
Love all of you!
Debbie D.
This group is open to everyone! You are welcome if you are considering surgery, have had any type of weightloss surgery, or are trying to support someone in those categories.
We are not affiliated with a hospital or surgeon; our members have had surgery in several states and we have long term post-ops all the way down to pre-ops. We are a PEER-run support group so, while someone facilitates the meeting, there's always room for flexibility to meet the groups needs; we are all here for each other!!!
We meet at the Library Center on South Campbell in mtg room A/B just inside the doors at 6:30pm-8pm.
If you have any questions just ask! We are a relaxed atmosphere!!!!
See you FRIDAY!!!!!

Jan, I get those magazine bills all the time. I called them and was told to ignore it which I intended to since I didn't order the magazines. She said they send those out so it's easy for you to order a magazine if you want it. They look just like an invoice so I wonder how many people just pay them.
I'm headed for my recliner. Our shows will be on shortly.
