I'm a Missouri (transplanted from New Mexico) gal who has just had RNY here in Columbia. I'd like to join the board. I see you gals keep up with one another and it sure seems like you provide support.
It sounds like it's been a tough year for many on this site - with the motorcycle accident and so many recent deaths. I'll put ya'll in my prayers and will try to be an active member of this board.
Jan must be busy this morning. We have some snow flurries today. It's too early for snow!!! Go away!! Guess I'm going to have to get my winter coat out.
Got a bottle of Afrin for severe congestion and have been using saline spray frequently. Last night and this morning I did a sinus rinse. We turn the furnace down at night. I can't sleep in a hot room and no comforter for me. Sometimes I have the fan on.
Jan, you mentioned yesterday about protein coffee. I mix Click with milk and sometimes add a scoop of protein powder. One scoop of Click is only 8 grams of protein so I don't consider it a big help toward my protein daily. I do love it. It's one of my favorite things. Today I added Isopure to a cup of Kahlula flavored coffee but didn't like it. Tomorrow I will add SF hot chocolate to coffee and protein powder.
So sorry Barbara is going thru so much. My prayers are with her and her family as well as Susie's family.

I'm so sorry you have had such a rough patch. You are such a sweetie and an inspiration to us all. We are here and if we can help, give a holler. I love you.
I have been having trouble with extremely dry skin on my hands and fingers. I think some of it is from all the paper I handle every day and then the winter heating. I tried sleeping with cream on them and white jersey gloves but the gloves drove me crazy or crazier I guess
Hugs to all. Suzie, I'm praying for your brother and sorry, but I'm praying he gets away from the motorcycles. I am so afraid of them, both my stepsons have Harleys and I worry so much about them.
Hugs and love,
Lana
H. ave you tried doing your own protein coffee and not with click? also try putting in some s.f. hot choc as an extra treat
My sinuses are really dry too....just change of weather and heated rooms....ive found that if you put more covers on the beds or use a heated bed pad instead of heating the air you breath your sinuses will be better off.
\Thanks for do the Whats happening post i appreciate it a lot.

I'm sorry to hear your brother is in such bad shape. It is a blessing that he appears to have no brain injury. It may take awhile but with the Lord's help his body will recover. I'll continue to keep your brother and your family in my prayers.
Thank you for the update.

Jan, where are you?? Bet she had to work today. My dishwasher will be delivered tonight.....YEA!!!!
I'm back at work and didn't really mind coming back.
I am tracking my protein today and I'm up to 64 grams so I'm doing okay. I'm sure to reach my minimum of 80 by the end of the day. I added Isopure to hot chocolate and it wasn't bad. I need to get back to protein coffee daily.
My sinuses are so dry. I thought it was from taking Benedryl every night but I haven't taken it the last 2 nights and I'm still really stuffy. My nose itches like crazy. Tonight I will have a humidifier in the bedroom.
Where or where are Lou and Barbara? Haven't heard from them in awhile.
