Sorry to hear about this gentleman.  I'm so thankful I had no problems after my surgery.  I know MRSA can be difficult to get rid of.

I'll be praying for him.

Best of luck on your test, I think you are going to pass with flying colors. My hats off to you, I can never get the hang of backing a trailer so I could never do it. I will stick to straight  vehicles.
Heard this morning my brother responded to his wife with a small nod yesterday so that is good news but he has a fever and they are having trouble keeping his blood pressure down. It does look hopeful. Thanks for the prayers.
Are you having to beat the guys off with a stick yet? If not it will be soon.

Topic: RE: Support Group in or near Joplin?

Aimee~Don't know about a group in Joplin, but we have a great support group her in Springfield that meets the secon Friday of every month. Some of our members come from Arkansas for meetings, if you want we are meeting on the 10th this month at the Library on South Campbell, starts at 6:30 PM. We have a very good leader and lots of post ops, both new and oldies so there is a lot of feed back and support here.

I had my surgery in May of this year, lost my husband in June and am making a very big change in my life, this group has helped me through all of this and I always had the support I needed. My advice is to post here when you anything is bothering you, and try coming to our COF meetings. We are here to help others the way we were helped.

Topic: First Week of School

Good morning OH

Got the first week of school "in my back pocket" as they say on the road.I am the only woman in our class, and the guys are really great. Was a lot of reading, writing and studying. Didn't realize how much I had forgotten. Have my permit now so I can drive the trucks for training. Actually started backing on Thursday, did staight backing the first day, I can still keep a trailer between the cones. On Friday we were doing Off-set backing, and of course I involuntarilly volunteered to be first. Actually did the manuver with only a couple of problems and managed to put the trailer in between the cones. Next week will be doing backing, and will bobtail through the industrial park north of Kearney. I think we will start coupling and un-coupling trailers and driving with a trailer about mid week. Will take the driving skills part of the CDL test the week after next. Should be out of school on the 17th of Dec. that is if I pass the driving part of the CDL.

Had a good week, got the cold my DD had and am sick right now. Am taking off from BAM so I can get rested up. Had to go buy a hoodie so I can cover my head out on the "range", that's where we do our backing. Am really loving it.

Been reading but not posting, am so tired when I get home I eat supper, then do homework then go to bed.

Susie~I have your brother, his wife and you in my prayers. My heart is with you, I know you are going through a very troubling time, when my sister had her stroke I couldn't go to see her, didn't get to say good-bye when she passed. It sounds like your brother is doing as good as possible, and is in good hands.

Barb~I'm sorry for your loss, and am keeping you in my prayers also. I do know that God will help you through this time of sorrow, keep him in your heart.

God bless all of you out there, I love you all and I read the board as often as I can, just don't always have the energy or time to post. Need to close now and get started on the homework, have to memorize all the inspection points on the the combination vehicle so I can pass the schools pre trip test, they won't send a student to do the final part of the CDL until they pass all of their tests first.

Love and Lots of HUGS

I will add William to my prayer list, am thankful they caught the clots. What's his room number , I can go by after school to see if he needs anything. Thank-you for posting this Jan. I hope he gets a physical therapist to work with him.

Topic: Support Group in or near Joplin?
Hey everyone... I just had my surgery on Oct. 18th and I'm starting to have issues with staying motivated and depression. I was hoping to find a support group in or around the Joplin area that I could get involved in. I really don't have much support at home and it gets hard when you live with 5 other adults and it isn't there. Thought that maybe finding others in my area to talk to and maybe become friends with would help get me back on track.  Does anyone know of any groups in the area? Or anyone in the area looking to make a new WLS friend?
