I think my eatingis moving along faster maybe because it is a VSG I am recovering from and not RNY- I have no re routing of the intestines. Just an increibly small stomach.  I need to eat small amts and chew chew chew and eat slowly, difficult fo me I was a volume eater and fast eater.   Only got sick once cause I ate too fast, too much and not chewed enough.  A good cough it it was all over. Have not had chicken since  - puts a bad taste in my mouth for now.  The food I cooked will not be eaten just now.  I eat a lost of pudding with protein powder  and jello - still feels good in my tummy.  I found orange, pineapple and grapefruit protein power mixes on bariwise.com with 12 grams of protein and zero carbs, I mix with icy orange isopure.  And I mix grape frost isopure with diet cranberry juice to sip on for a treat. adds losts of ice to dilute. Thanks for the response. Maja

Maja,
Great results. I'm excited for you. I had lots of issues with the changing center of my body gravity so I think you're probably normal. I think a trainer is always a good idea if you have the time to work with one. Sounds like you are getting prepared for going back to work. At one month out I could not eat what you are fixing but every Doctor has a different food plan and in the end they all work fine.
Be sure to drink your water and take your vitamins.
Hugs,
Lana

Been snowed or iced in for two days. lucky I got groceries on Sunday.  Cooking pot roast and made it into swiss steak , portioned it and frozen for work lunches. Today making tukey mushroon meatballs / small meatloafs really. Using my new silicone pumpkin shaped pans ( like small cupcake sized) will freeze for quick suppers and lunches. My one month appt has yet to happen with Dr Scott, first I got sick and then today the appt is cancelled because of ice. So Monday is the day.  Accoding to my scale (it seemed to only differ post op by 2 pounds from the office scale) says I am down - pre op 433 Day of surgery 410 1week 402 and now my scale says CW 375.  I want it to be more and faster but this is good.  there are sooooo many body changes going on, I am having trouble walking due to pain, numbness in my right thigh and I am falling down I guess my center of gravity is changing. Do you all think an evaluation with a trainer would help?  Reply with a Hey if you all have time. Maja in St Louis, MO

Susie, good news about your brother. The power of prayers is amazing.
I would like to ask everyone to pray for traveling mercy for me on the 23rd when I drive up to Stacy's for Christmas. It was so bad last winter that I never did get up there - last 1 1/2 mile is gravel road and the township doesn't see fit to plow it sometimes.
I will not miss Christmas with my DD and DGS but I hope there won't be snow - makes me so nervous driving.
Hugs and love to all

Hey Craig,
Good to see you on the board but sorry about your problems. I second what Jan said. Calcium Citrate for sure - I take lots and fell last fall and broke a bone in my hip and it healed in 6 weeks so well that the doctors were amazed. I'm sure it's the vitamins and supplements I take that caused such a rapid healing. You will be in my prayers. Don't be a stranger.
