I'm working today - will leave for N. Missouri in the AM. Supposed to start storming up there tomorrow afternoon but I'm planning to be ahead of most of it.
I have and infection in both eyes but was able to see the Dr. here on campus so I got drops and it is slowly clearing up.
I had sad news this AM. Some of you old-timers might remember Mike Addleman, he had either the DS or sleeve I'm not sure. He came to a couple of meetings at the firehouse. He passed away yesterday. His father worked with me for a couple of years and he called me.
Mike had not taken care of himself - not eating, drinking or taking supplements properly and his liver failed. 49 years old, two teenage children. Of course his family blames the surgery, we all would, but it really is caused by not following instructions.
Pray for his two children and father.
Hugs,
Lana

I'm ready for the new year. There have been some tough times for my family this year. My son is doing well and has been sober for little over 30 days, but I know people can slip back very easily. I've gotten to know his GF much better and she's not the great girl I thought she was. In fact, she is mean and self centered. He hopes to find a job and be able to get a small apartment and leave her. He stays with us during the week but goes home on the weekend. She constantly makes sarcastic remarks to him about drinking and treats him like he's stupid.
Friday, Greg and Barb will be at my house and we will go to my GD's wedding. It will be tough being with her. I'm not good at playing nice when I have the feelings I do about her.
Everyone have a great day!!

Lana, Love you too! My COF group has been a big motivation for me. The love and support I get there is what I needed to get me back into life. You and all of the others are my mentors and I hope that I can return what was given to me.
Love you, will definitly stay in touch. I wish you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS, AND A PROSPEROUS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Good Morning OH,
Well I'm up before the chickens again, thought I would go ahead and get this started. The first day orientation was gruelling, had so much reading and the took about 2 hours of computerized testing. Not sure what will go on today, I'm pretty sure I am hired, they gave me my old driver ID#. Hoping to be on a trainer truck ASAP.
It's cold up here, and I didn't were insulated yesterday, so when we took our breaks I froze. Will make sure and insulate today, will probably have to go outside and do a pre-trip inspection and maybe a road test.
Just want to wish all of you A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. Will be on here everyday, it gives me something to do when I get up this early and waiting for time for the shuttle to the terminal.
HUGS
Since it's just DH and I (and the doggies, chickens, and pigeons) we don't do much for Christmas. We did put up a tree and put a cool stuffed grinch on the tree - well that lasted about 3 minutes until the Vizsla decided it was a toy. Guess we shouldn't put stuffed animals on the tree!
Family from his side is coming after Christmas to do a big rabbit and raccoon hunt with us. One of my nephews is coming as well.
Hope ya'll have a great Christmas.
