Rainy Saturday

Another one I guess when everyone kept praying for rain over and over, God decided to give us plenty to shut us up, He give more abundantly than we can imagine. Maybe we need to all pray that he will turn it off for a week or two now.lol. None of my seed i have planted directly into the ground are coming up yet they need some sunsihine. lol I cant wait until Wednesday to go see Dr. H. Craig says he is a great guy and you leave feeling like he is your best friend. Hope I get a date for surgery. I will dance when I leave. When I heard the hospital got their COE the other day, I said if i could jump for joy I would. What is everyone doing today or this week end. Ive had a set back about my walking, I hurt my knees the other day and I cant walk very well right now. Well not much longer then whoo hoo. Jan

Hi Jan, Who prayed for this rain?...lol..not me! I've enjoyed the cool weather that has come with it but the rain itself I could do without. We're having a birthday party for my 4yr old nephew out in our yard today and we're steadily praying the rain holds off until tonight like the weather channel said. My sister had already put streamers and balloons on the gazebo and every tree in the yard when we started getting sprinkles. I told her if she didn't stop frowning her face was going to stick. The last 3 years we had our pool set up and people were swimming at his party, so cool weather and rain is a new one for us. I was so happy for you guys when I heard they finally had their COE. Now I just have to find a place closer to me, til then I think I'll live vicariously through y'all...lol I hope everyone has a great weekend. Take care, Lia

Lia you live so close to the border of several states that you ought to be able to find one somewhere. Do you have to have one that has Their COE? It has been raining here all day long. so hope the party goes off good. This weather here has really be goofy this year. 90s one day then 50s then 70s but i guess it is spring time in the ozarks , what do you expect. Jan, I also have Medicare, so I do need a place with their COE. I live about 30 Miles from Arkansas but the last time I checked, they still didn't have any COE's. Tennessee and Kentucky do but they are all around 5 or more hours from me. I did call a place in Tennessee when I first found out about the Medicare policy back at the beginning of March. They took my information and told me that they would call me back when they had set me up with an appointment for an all day seminar thing. They never called back as far as I know but I have decided to wait for another COE in either St. Louis or Springfield anyway. Missouri Medicaid is my secondary insurer, so if I go out of state I pay 20% out of pocket (on top of the gas prices to drive 5 hours). We had to move the birthday party inside but it went pretty well. My nephew got a "Grave Digger" ride-on monster truck, so of course he ended up outside for the better part of an hour in his raincoat, driving his new toy. I swear he's gonna be a stunt driver when he grows up. This ride-on toy will be the 6th (I think) in a line of power wheel type toys, most he has now outgrown. He drives better than me...lol Thanks for the prayers and hopefully the sun will decide to come out and stay a while. We'll all be warm finally and your flowers will bloom. Take care, Lia

Hi Jan, Its been raining here at our place too. I get on this web site quiet a bit but I don't know what to write to anybody. I am not on the team that knows what any of the abbreviations mean, so that's why I don't write much. I wouldn't want to show everybody that I'm not computer savvy.So what the heck does -lol- mean? I got on today to see if Dr. Hornbostal and the hospital got their COE, and I am so elated!! I have my first appointment to see Dr. Hornbostal this next wednesday at 10:00. So I hope we can get the ball rolling. I'm scared to death and so...... hoping that I will come through it great with no problems afterwards! You would think that I would be alright with surgery since I've had 8 surgeries already in my lifetime. I am a General Baptist pastor's wife. I'm not scared about where I'll go when I die, but I don't want to get there to soon. I know with the extra weight I'm carrying and a history of heart disease in my family I'd run and jump on the operating table. But anyway I am so glad that they got their rating, now I pray that I will be approved by Medicare real soon. Have a Nice Day. Brenda

hey you are ok , just ask if you dont know what an abrevations measn ....lol means laughing out loud. My appointment with Dr. H is this coming Wed too at 3:30 Shame there arent closer together we could meet. Where is Silva at? I have heard of it but dont know exactly where that is. Being approved by medicare isnt much of a deal i dont think, If Dr. H accepts you as a patient then he is saying that you need the surgery and they ok it.Or that is what I am believing anyway. I hope we leave his office Wed with a surgery date in hand. Im not scared Im like you I know where Im going if I die so I think of it as a win-win siutation. Win if i make it thru and get thin and healthy and win if i die and go to heaven. Good to talk to you and maybe we can meet one day. Jan

Hi there Jan, It looks like rain here but no drops. Just a ovvercast day. finally finished some more painting today. Cant wait for Wed to come so you can meet Dr. H. He will accept you as a pt. Probably he can not give you a definite date as they will have to submit it to Medicare after he meets with you. It took one week for me. Then they call and give you the day to go for all the preop stuff and a date as soon as you are approved. Have a great evening. Colette

yeah i know. it says in the policy that all is needed is the surgeons saying it is medically necessary. and i am sure that Dr. H. knows how to ask by now. lol How you doing today Colette. I am getting so excited about going to meet him and talk about when is a possibility. Hoping in June but when ever is ok with me really as long as i know i am going to get it done. I can just imagine how excited i will be when they give me the call to tell me the date. Jan

Jan Reading all of your post you seem like such an awesome person. I will be praying all goes great for you when you go meet Dr. H. He is a really great guy. I even told him about my husband's doubts and worries and he talked to my husband and made him feel better about all of this. I am waiting for the phone call telling me when to go to the hospital for all my preop stuff. June 1st seems so far away yet really soon. I'm sure you know what I mean by that. I can hardly wait but am really nervous about it too. It will be such a huge life change but one I am more than ready for. God bless and take care Sky

Howdy, Angels have to have rain to grow their flowers and gardens ....lol ....When I met with Dr. Hornbostel I asked him if he could guesstamate my sugery date..He told me towards the latter part of June.. Iam happy with that.. When they had to stop giving out WLS to medicare pt's in March. Those people are being called back so by rights they have to be taken first if they show back up, or didnt go someplace else to get it done....But, I know how hard it was to get this far, So I dont blame them for not wanting to lose their place in line...but dont you worry Jan buddy we are going to be there soon....Collette, is our angel and she is asking God too...
