I went to the seminar!
I went to Dr. Hornbostel's seminar last night and was really impressed by him. My husband went with me and he thinks he's great, too. I am so-o-o-o-o excited! My insurance won't pay for the RNY so I have to be self-pay. I've been checking into loans and refinancing our home and was really worried I wouldn't be able to have the surgery.
Well, God answered my prayers! 
I called my Dad and asked him if he'd lend me the money and he said YES. 
He is so worried about my weight and me not living longer than him that he jumped at the opportunity for me to have the surgery. Now, all I need is for Dena to call me and set up an appointment to visit with Dr. H. She is away from the office until Monday. I came home from the meeting and faxed the form we were given last night and filled in my profile, too. I'm ready whenever they are! Please keep me in your prayers that everything will go well and soon. My husband is all for the surgery, too, but my son is a little worried. I talked to him last night and told him what I was going to do and the first thing he said was "Mom, people die from that surgery!" 
I reassured him that I wouldn't die unless it was my time to die and it didn't matter what I was doing it would happen anyway. And anyway, with my weight the way it is now I could die from that, too! He seems to be better now. He told me if that's what I wanted to do then he'd be behind me 100%. 
He's a great son! Gotta go, just needed to tell somebody about my good fortune. Have a great day and God bless all of you!

Linda...Iam so happy for you and welcome as one of Dr. Phils patients.....Dr. Hornbostel is a great guy...Very nice and comforting to talk to in person as well....I had my appt with him yesterday and I had great news and came out crying with happiness....You will too soon....Again Welcome and chat with us all anytime and remember Keep the faith and Look to Jesus
