HELP! Need some backup here
I won't go into the details but let's say that my little slice of heaven is a bit rocky these days......My daughter (who is 6 and a half) feel asleep on our bed next to me. My husband was going to carry her to bed but another child had an issue which called him away and irritated him at the same time. He asked me to carry her to bed.....I said I would need to wake her because I don't feel comfortable carrying her (she weighs over 50 pounds)....not just post-surgical, I don't think I am in shape enough to carry her not to mention that I've always believed lugging around heavy things isn't good for a mid-40's woman (who has been weight lifting in 13 years or more)....
He got really snotty and told me I should be ashamed of myself for refusing to lift my child......
Anyone out there got any opinions? If you were 11 weeks out from surgery and still over 300 lbs, would you lift and carry a sleeping child to her room?
(btw, sometimes he is less than respectful to me....he won't just take my word for my limitations - he thinks I am tricking him out of something). I woke up my daughter, walked her to bed and tucked her in....
