My own WOW Moment--OT
Okay, this is off topic, but I couldn't help but sharing. Last night my agent forced me (he said it was gently nudging. )to do a sales history for my books that are out. So I spent 4 hours doing a spreadsheet and these are the numbers: 23 books on the market, 7 more contracted but not out yet for a total of 33 titles. 750,000 copies in print (pushing that 1 million mark!!). I was FLOORED to see the numbers. I thought I was getting close to the half a million mark.
If you go into a Barnes and Noble or Target or Walmart and walk by the Christian Fiction section, take a look and see if my books are there. You don;t have to buy one by any means!! Tracey Bateman.
Cool Tracey - you should be very proud. It's wonderful when people get to do what they love. I assume your message is well-recieved. I am proud to say I post on the same board......
Coincidentally, I was on a site last night where you locate a literary agent for a manuscript (yes, everyone's an author - just like in California - everyone's an aspiring actor)....Does your agent specialize in a particular genre?
Please forgive me if this feels OPPORTUNISTIC, it's just so darn coincidental to see your post today.
BTW - to your last question, I am doing okay. Back at work and getting in the swing of things. I want to know if you have recovered from your dumping.
Hi Tracey,
No OT here - the most important topic is all of us sharing and encouraging each other
That is awesome! Autograph time for you! This weekend, I'm definitely going to a bookstore and check it out. I've never known a best selling ONE MILLION COPY author before!! That was most definitely a WOW moment for sure. You should (if you haven't already) gotten your book cover framed along with that spreadsheet calculation!
Congratulations. I am so happy for you!
