I met with surgeon, and pcp and talked to insurance company. they said surgery was covered - which it is. Had all my pre-op testing - chemical stress test - nuclear scan - two days worth, sleep apnea test, pulmonary testing. Then they said 6 months supervised diet !!! Does anyone know how long these tests last before doing over again? Is that up to surgeon or insurance company??

Hi there, Most blood work and other diagnostic testing is good for 6 months, but some may be only for 3. If your doctor is okay with them then you should be fine, unless your insurance wants them anyway. My doctors would have made me redo them if it was longer than 1 month. Good luck. Six months of dieting may seem like a long time, but it will be well worth it. This surgery has changed my life and given it back to me.
