GREAT news!!!!!

Hi everyone. I just had to share my news with all of you. This morning I got a phone call from New Start and my insurance has given final approval for my surgery. I have an appt. with the nutritionist and the surgeon next Tuesday. Right now they have me down for surgery the 28th of this month and have started me on the clear liquid diet. My surgery date isn't set in stone yet until I see the surgeon, but at the very latest it will be the beginning of April. I will let you all know when I get an exact date. Deanna P.S. Deanna, YEAH!!! We've got a special place saved on the loser's bench just for you! That is such awesome news. I am very happy for you. The clear liquid diet is such a great indicator that you are on your way! I know you've been waiting so this is great, great news. Congratulations! Yaaa Whoooo! I am so happy for you. I had surgery through the New Start program. My surgeon has retired now.(Dr. Fabito) But they are great there. I hear all kinds of good stuff about Dr. Richardson. I recieved excellent care at St Alexis Hospital. Everyone from the cleaning lady to the surgery team was so nice and any thing I needed they were on top of it. My prayers are with you. Your life will never be the same again. What a wonderful NEW START! JEAN E

Deanna... I'm very very happy for you honey... just think...you are on your way... Don't forget to take pics and get your measurements.. believe me. They will come in handy down the road when you just "know" that you are not loosing weight and that somehow you aren't going to be successful. Trust me. We all go through that!.. I agree withthe advice, be sure and take before pictures and measure everything.I wish I had taken more pic's along the way. When I could not see the difference like everyone else. We remeasured and I was amazed. I measured ankles/wrist/head/neck/abdomen while sitting/abdomen while standing/ hips/chest/calf/arms/feet/thighs/ everthing.As of December I had lost 143 inches all over. It may not be an official measurement but it has really motivated me a long the journey.Also check each leg/arm because they are not always the same. Last time I measured my head had shrunk 3 inches.(See I am not getting big headed!!!) that is not something you think about or notice right away, but the tape measure does not lie. Thanks for all the wonderful support guys and gals. You don't know how much it means to me to have so much wonderful support. That is great advice about the measurements. I will definantly be doing that. I will let everyone know as soon as I have a set date. This liquid diet isn't so bad. I think it's because I know it's for a great reason. Deanna
