Anyone having surgery on 3/31 at St. Alexius???

Just wondering if there is anyone in St. Louis having surgery at St. Alexius hospital. Also, is anyone else having problems getting their pre-op testing scheduled there?

Hi Diane. I just got my approval from the insurance today. I will be having my surgery at St. Alexius also. I meet with Dr. Richardson on Tuesday. Chris says they tentatively have me down for the 28th but will have to wait for Dr. Richardson to give final approval of the date. I will let you know about the pre-op testing scheduling thing after I see the doctor on Tuesday. Deanna

Congrats! I finally have my testing scheduled for the 23rd! Be prepared, when I went to meet with Dr. Richardson I waited for 2 hours!!! Still was worth it but aggravating. Have you started the liquid diet yet? I Started yesterday I am very hungry but trying to stay positive. I hope that everything goes smoothly for you. Diane

Yeah, I started the liquid diet on Thursday morning when they called me. She wanted me to start immediately in case he agrees to the 28th as a surgery date. I know what you mean about it being hard. Still having to cook for my Mom and son are torture. lol But, the way I look at it is, I am this close and there is no way I am blowing it now. As for waiting in Dr. Richardson, I will wait as long as I have to (as I'm sure you would have to). Thanks for the heads up though, now I will be sure to take a book with me to keep me occupied.
