Yep we are all ok. We live in Southern Taney county almost on the Arkansas line. We were awaken last night by our little fire department going around the roads sounding the sirens on the truck. We had gone to bed so dont know what the weather had said before then but Im sure there was a tornado spotted for them to be out blowing the sirens. But we got wind and a little rain but there was this horrible horrible big roaring going on overhead so what ever it was didnt touch down anyway. I was on my knees in the corner praying like mad, for God to have his angels put a protective cover over us and I guess he did. Jan

We made it through okay, despite one of the tornados touching down here. I live in Festus, and a twister touched down just outside of town, near where my husband was at work. He had left for work just before the sirens went off, and if he had stuck around the house any longer, he might not have made it. We drove out that way yesterday, and the pictures on TV do not do it justice! People were wandering around, digging through rubble and cutting tree limbs. There was a box spring from a bed in one tree, trucks on top of houses, and huge heaps of rubble where houses used to be. It was a mess! Some friends of ours got VERY lucky, as the tornado went through their backyard and NOT their house, although their basement window was blown out. I hope everyone was able to avoid this mess. Fortunately, it appears that in Missouri, damage was kept to a minimum. Pamela

We are fine. I hope everyone is safe, and their houses are relatively sound. Some of the pictures on the news were just awful. We got clobbered by 3 bad hail storms in two days. The siding on all sides of our house is full of holes. We are very luck compared to many in MO, so I am going to be patient with the insurance company. Our dogs house blew down into the creek bed behind our house, but luckily she was in our house with us. My DH retrieved it, so she was only homeless for a short time. That was the biggest hail I have ever seen personally. Our new roof came through the storms like a champ. WHEW!! Today is my first day for radiation treatments, so that will be a new experience for me. I forgot to mention I went shopping Saturday, and I can now wear 18s in the Misses department. Woo hoo for me! We are doing fine, missed it by that much! There was a funnel that went right by our house but we were not here, we had gone over to my aunts because we do not have a basement. When we came home my neighbor said that she saw a funnel go over out house and that was the same tornado that hit Sedalia (the first one). It did take an amish house, barn and some of their horses right outside of town. Then later on that night the radio said that we were three minutes away of being hit by a huge tornado but that one went through Greenridge and turned over a trailer. Then we thought that it was over so we went home from my aunt's house when we got there and just got the scared kids down they called out another tornado warning by Windsor and the sirens went off. There was nothing we could do, we prayed and prayed. You know we should have praying way before then, we always seem to pray for a last resort. Anyway we got hail and really high winds, if there was a tornado around it didn't hit here---thank you Jesus. My daughter was so out she didn't even hear the sirens. My baby boy just clung to his daddy while I was walking around with the radio because our satellite went out. It was an interesting day one that I would like to never see again. Hope everyone else is o.k.! Have a blessed day and hug your family just one more time. Remember we don't know the day or the hour but we have right now so thank God for your family and friends. God bless, Penni
