Hello all!
Hello Barry,
I feel a little guilty telling you but I started the process in January by going to the seminar. I still have to do my pre-op testing and the class next week but barring any complications surgery in less than 3 weeks. What has been the hold up for you? I hope that you hear from the doctor soon!
Well good for you. I have had nothing but frustration with Dr. Scott's office. They never seem to have time to call back. My insurance specifically states that this surgery is covered and they have no problems with moving forward. But the Columbia office just doesn't seem interested in getting me scheduled. I tried to use the psycologist they recommended but she would never return our calls to set up an appointment. I complained to the Columbia office and they acted like they knew she was bad about not returning calls but offered no alternative. I finally got another psycologist. If Dr. Scott had not come so highly recommended by my doctor, I would cut my losses and find someone else. It has been a very frustrating process. It has now been 6 months since I started the process and still do not have a surgery date.
I am sorry to hear that your doctor's office is giving you the run around. How far do you live from St. Louis? I have had so far a really positive experience with the New Start program and with Dr. Richardson. I know that you probably don't want to start over again. So you are just waiting for your surgery date? What do they say when you call? I hope that they get their act together and get you a date soon! Hang in there!
