you have nothing on your profile. Why are you so unhappy? You know happiness is in ourselves not what is on the outside. Hope you find what you are looking for. would love to read your story. Jan

Dawn, Happy Re-Birthday!! Your wls anniversary date is a very special day. Congratulations on 166 pounds. 166 pounds in ONE year is awesome. I don't know what your ultimate goal is but 166 pounds is another person! Go to the store and pick up one of the big bags of potting soil or even a five pound bag of sugar....it's heavy! You were carrying around lots of those around with you over one year ago. On your special day (and everyday), reflect back on your accomplishments this year and all you have achieved. You say in your post that you've come "real close" to your goal. It's not over - it's only just begun. You have hit your one year mark and you keep going toward your goal and the lifestyle changes you've obviously made in losing 166 pounds. As far as trying to find happiness, count the blessings and wonderful gifts you have in your life........family, friends, your health, losing 166 pounds in only one year, etc., etc. Celebrate today! Think about this day last year and how far you've come to celebrating today! Many, many Congratulations! Cathy ObesityHelp Support Group Specialist

Dawn, I agree with all the others who have posted. You have done a magnificent job in just one year. I'm sure it took you more than one year to gain that weight. I am down 100+ pounds, and I wonder how I carried those 5 bags of dog food around with me all those years. I have to have picture of what 100 lbs. look like, and the food I buy for my dog comes in 20 lb bags. I have trouble lifting one of them. Imagine carrying 5 of them. I hope you never second guess your decision. Hopefully losing that much weight improved your health. I truly hope you find the happiness you are looking for. Others have already given you the best advice about that. Now I'm going to ask you a personal question. Do you see a psychologist or counselor of some type? If the answer is now, I would like to gently suggest you do that. It has made a world of difference to me. Keep up your great work, and you will make goal. Keep on working on the happiness. It will come. Linda

CONGRATULATIONS DAWN ;;;;;; WHAT A GREAT JOB. YOU SHOULD BE SO PROUD OF YOURSELF. I am so proud of you, and I don't even know you, but 166, you have really stuck to it. Your health will be so much better. my doc said that RNY will add 20 years to a life most times, and get rid of those comorbididies. I used to be sad a lot of the time and My Mother always would say to be "Deb happiness comes from within." Well after I was put on an antidepressant, my world changed. I am not pushing pills here but if you are depressed, an antidepressant is like a life-saver. Just something to think about and maybe talk to your doc. Just don't get down on your self. you have done a wonderfull, job. Keep smilling. debrafromkc.
