Calling Dr. Scott's Patients

Can some of you *****cently had there surgery with Dr. Scott. Please tell me after your Pre-Op class that you took. How soon after that did you have your surgery date?? And did they tell you the day you had your class. Or did they call you with it?? Sorry I am close to the end and curious. lol Thanks Melissa

I had surgery in May. My experience was that as soon as the insurance had given the ok then I had a date. The pre op class was after I had a date. But things and routine has changed and the office has gotten much busier so... HTH lesa

Melissa, I had a pre-op clinic appointment with Dr. Scott on 7/13/05, and I was given a surgery date of 7/26/06. At the same time, I was given a date for my pre-op class which was 7/21. When I was in the clinic for the pre-op, I told them I wanted the first available surgery date. I think there may have been a cancellation. I never expected to get a date that soon. I did ask if I could have a morning surgery time, and I would have had to wait an additional two weeks. That's why I think they had a cancellation for the date I took. I'm not sure the pattern is the same for all of Dr. Scott's patients. You will soon have a surgery date. If you are going to the pre-op class, you are getting very close. Linda

i was a bit different. i went to the pro-op class with no date. then went to see the doc. he told me what tests he wanted , then by the time the teststhey had the wrong contact number) were done my approval had lapsed so i had to do the whole approval thing again. bummer. but as soon as they approved it again i had my date within 1 week. good luck , you'll be there soon./ Brenda

I already had my date when I went to my pre-op class. My class was on Thursday and my surgery was on Monday!! And that was less than 2 weeks after the call to schedule my surgery!! But I know they have changed the process a bit since last June. Connie 410/347/230/135
