I just needed to post this message. I am a bit discouraged. I am nauseated no matter what I eat (or drink), even protein shakes. Sometimes water. My left side continues to hurt. They said that once your staples dissolve and they POP, it stops hurting. I am so fatigued, tired of being in pain and sick of trying to get my daily protein, water and supplements. Someone remind me that this will pass........ I am walking every day at the track. I am always tired and sweat at night plus I AM COLD most all the time...... I really could use a little inspiration tonight. (Yesterday was 2 weeks out from surgery for me).

Hello Angel. I am sorry that you are having problems. I can relate to the feelings of nausea. Remember you have just had MAJOR surgery so there is going to be pain and fatigue. IT WILL GET BETTER I will be praying for you. Email me if you need someone to unload on. Wayne

Hi! Ditto to what Wayne said. You had major surgery just a couple of weeks ago. It is like your mind is ready to get up and over the recovery and recuperating period but your body needs time to heal. When is your next follow-up appointment with your surgeon? Keep a list of your issues and concerns so you can talk to your doctor at your next appointment. Before you know it, all of this will be a distant memory and you'll feel healthy and strong. It will all be worth it very soon. I've never met a patient (even those with some extreme complications) that has told me that if they had it to do over again that they wouldn't have had surgery. Keep up your protein, water intake and your supplements to enhance your healing. Please let us know how you're doing. Feel free to e-mail me too if you want to vent, unload, etc., etc. We're all here for you! Cathy ObesityHelp Support Group Leader

{{{{{HUGGS}}}}} Angel I am sorry to hear that your having a rough time of it right now. I was talking to another lady that hd surgery not to long ago on my other board. And she felt the same way. She was saying she wish she never had it done. She was sick and weak just overall having a really rough time. But then she turned the cornor and now she is doing great!!!! I of course havent had this surgery yet. But from what everyone says and what I have learned from programs, books, internet, seminars, ect. This is a total body makeover. So it is to be expected that it is going to be rough for awhile. But after you get over your hurdle (sp) You will know why you did it and do thankful you did. Just know your in my thoughts and prayers. And I will do anything possible to be there for you!!! Please keep us posted on how your doing!!! ya Melissa

Angel, It will get better. I would like to suggest you call your surgeons office and tell the staff what is going on. Most surgeons want to know if you are having any problems. Don't wait for your next appointment, give them a call today. It will give you piece of mind, plus they may have some suggestions to help you. Keep up the good work. It is so worth it!! Linda

All you beautiful people. The sun has risen and I have had the opportunity to read your responses. My mood is better. I believe my concerns and issues are in my head (well, maybe the nausea is somewhere else!). I know this is a long process. I'm going to find something to eat and walk and hope tommorrow is better. I confess I stayed in bed this morning and watched junk TV. I thank you all your prayers. I have decided to be better. Melissa - I look forward to being there for you if you need it....

Honey it does get better and better every day. You are at the tough stage of what the heck did I do to myself. We all go throught it. he first month is the hardest. I had major constipation about three weeks out. I had to have me wife give me an emema and that didnt work. When I got to where I could eat I little I ate too much cheese and it plugged me up real bad. I can eat cheese just not too much at a time. I was miserable until the benefiber kicked in, then it was such a relief. I could hardly walk the first month without pain. The second month was a whole lot better and now I am so glad I had surgery.
