HELP FOR A FRIEND...

Hi, my name is Dolores and I live in Pennsylvania and had WLS in October of 2005. I have a friend who lives in the St. Louis area who is starting to think about WLS. Anna Marie is more interested in the LAP Band. I was wondering if anyone could direct me so in return I can help her. WHere and who to you guys recommend in this area??? You can have your friend call the Weight Managment Center at Washington University Hospital at 314-286-2080. I don't know if they do lap bands but it woulden't hurt to call them. Good luck. Wayne

She could also call the New Start Program. They do the Lap Band. Their number is 1-800-245-1431. Don't let the 1-800 number fool you, they are in St. Louis. Deanna

Dolores, The surgeons at St. John's in Springfield, Missouri are doing the Lap Band if she wants to have another option. You might also refer her to the Lap Band Message Board on OH. I'm sure she'll get lots of good information from other Lap Banders there too. Cathy ObesityHelp Support Group Leader
