for Medicare. They did approve weight loss surgery as a covered option under Medicare for the elderly and handicapped. Before it was only as a medical decision made by the doctors and now it is a bill that it is covered . Maybe this will lead to more and more insurance companies covering it too. They were thinking about not including anyone over 65 but they didnt do that. So I called Mary at Dr. Hodges office and said she needs to call me back so we can things going.Since I am 65 i didnt see anyway of having this done and I want to at least live the rest of my life in comfort a smaller size. Praise God I cant wait to get started....I will be at the next support group in Springfield on the 13th cant wait.

I am so happy for you. I am so glad now my Aunt Betty Jane can get her surgery too, She wants it so bad as she has seen how well my wife and I have done after our surgeries. She got slim one time before on weigh****hches but gained it all back. Her health is so bad she really need to lose the weight. Maybe I will see you at the meeting in Springfield . I will go unless I get stuck working.

Thanks guys . I hope to meet some of you at the meeting. I dont know what the first thing is I have to do to get approval from medicare. I think that is mostly up to the Dr. I dont know. What is some of the things I have to do before Dr. Hodges will operate? I just had complete lab work done by my pcp in January. so will i have to have that done over?
