:) In need of help from the kind people of the four state area

I am in need of help from the kind people of the four state area of S.W. Missouri. I just found out that Dr. Gorospe in Tulsa, OK. is no longer in my in-netowrk for my insurance.So now I have to find a new surgeon around my area or beg and plead to Cigna to pay him as a in network Doc. What do you suggest? I was wondering if there are any Dr.'s closer to this area that does the surgery? What I am asking is for the infor of your Doc if he is in Missouri? Any one have a Doc in Springfield? Please Help!! Michelle

Hi, I went to an informational seminar with Dr. Cameron Hodges in springfield. I even took my husband along and we were both impressed with him. I did send my paperwork in to his office in January. Here is his # 417-820-3800. It does take a few days for mary, his nurse to call you back.

Michelle, Talk to your insurance company-sometimes they will go ahead and make exception since you are already a patient of Dr. Gorospe. Check to see if just Dr.Gorospe is out of network or if he and the hospital are. Talk to the business office at the hospital and someone in Dr.G's office they may be able to help. I had heart surgery at an out of network hospital in 2005 the business office made exception and accepted payment of out of network . Don't give up. Dr.Gorospe is awesome .If I am ever able to get an insurance policy w/out an exclusion he is my first choice. I'm sure there are a lot of other great doctors . Doctor G's office could even help you there too. Good luck. Dannielle

Hi Michelle, The Weight Loss Surgery Program in Springfield is Cameron Hodges, MD and Christopher Edwards, MD. Their bariatric coordinator is Mary. They have a comprehensive program and excel in their behavioral health component of the program. Both physicians are excellent and St. John's is a great hospital. We also have two support groups sponsored by Drs. Edwards and Hodges for all weight loss patients. I lived elsewhere when I had my surgery but there are many support group members that have had their surgery with Drs. Edwards and Hodges and are very happy with them and their program. Come to our next support group meeting on March 13th at 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. You can talk to lots of their patients and be part of our great meeting. I have checked for the Hospital to be in network and it is. Just Dr. G is not. So I am gonna plead my case to the insurance co and see what happens... Wish me luck.... Thanks for the replies.... Michelle
