Hello all...
Well it's been a LONG time since I have posted. I have been responding to posts but haven't posted anything of my own for a while. I am doing good. I still don't know how much I've lost since I don't have a scale yet. As of 2 weeks ago I had lost 51 pounds so I'm hoping to be about 65 down now. As far as the food part goes I am learning there are a lot of things that are not settleing well on my stomach but I am eating one bite then waiting to see how it sits so I have not in about a week. I hope everyone is doing well, I know there is a lot of crud going around. I am going to try to post more regularly. I also wanted to say thanks to Melissa for her posts (jokes and quizzes) they have been fun to read and do. See ya around the board.

Hi Wayne,
I'm glad you are doing better. You and your pouch will figure this out soon. I have been battling the crud for a week now. My husband was home from work for two weeks with it. It is awful. Try not to get it.
When will you weigh again? I know it's hard some times to not know how well you are doing. I'm sure you are doing amazingly well.
I wish I knew some jokes for funny stories. I would be happy to share them. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Hey stranger long time no see. Glad to see you posting again. It was a welcome surprise to find this morning. It is my pleasure with the jokes and quizzes. I have an off the wall humor so sometimes the jokes are out there. lol How is the wife and kids doing?? Did you guys get much snow from last week?? Ours is of course all gone. So much for winter I really would of loved to see more snow. But I am not giving up yet I am still hoping for a good snow storm. I hope you have a good day. Your in my thoughts and prayers. I am calling my insurance company today to see if they know anything yet. I will post when I do hear something.
God Bless
Melissa
Whats up girl? Sorry you haven't had your blizzard yet but theres still time. W had about an inch of snow but it melted 2-3 days later so it's all gone now. April and the boys are doing good everyones healthy so no problems as of now. I heard about your acceptance so I guess we will be having a new Missouri loser soon, You go girl! I hope to see you at the next support meeting.

Hello Wayne and all-
As you can see I am late posting. Been working a lot of hours. Had the kids from Lee Summit here for supper and I am just now checking emails. Glad you are doing better. I have trouble with some foods too and then I just wait until I feel some better and then I eat. Had Lasagna for supper tonight. It was good. Could not eat a lot, but did manage to eat a small piece. Had some salad also. Just take your time and eat what you can. Hope this finds you and family all well. Colette
Hey Wayne,
I am so sorry that you are having problems with your food. It must be hard not to know what you can have and what you can't. I don't understand why some people have no problems and some do. I have had no complications at all not even problem with food. Why is that? If the surgery is the same for everyone why is so hard for some and not for another? Have a great day and God bless, Penni
Hi Wayne,
I've missed seeing your posts so I was glad to see this one. I wondered how you were doing.
It is a strange thing about being newly post-op. For me, one day I could eat something that will be just fine. I could eat the exact same thing, same quantity, same everything the very next day and I'd be miserable. From surgery, these are just irritable inside and it takes awhile for things to heal, settle down and find a "norm". If possible, stick to the things that you know work for you. Before long, you'll be expanding your dietary buffet to include many more things. Who knows, maybe even tuna someday will be one of your favorites??!!! (Okay, okay, that last sentence regarding tuna was pushing it!! What I'm trying to say is that it will get better!)
Your strategy of eating one bite at a time and really feeling how it sits on your pouch and how it feels is great. It is really connecting with your body and your pouch. It took me months to figure that out and you're already practicing it. Way to go!
You're doing great. I can hardly wait until your next weigh in!
