Dessert Test:

Wow it was so hard to choose between the Lemon Meringue and Strawberry Shortcake! but I decided on Strawberry Shortcake because it was healthier. both descriptions were pretty right on though.

I am a carrot cake all the way! Thanks for the test! I am new to the MO forum. it is much more active than the OK one (I go there because that is where my Dr. is and I get to talk to his patients!) Does anyone know about a support group that meets in Springfield, MO that anyone can go to? I can't go to Tulsa every time they have a support group and I would like to start making connections before I have my surgery. Thanks! Lisa Nixa, MO

Hi Lisa, Welcome to the Missouri Board. There are some great members that you'll meet here. There is a support group in Springfield. It is the New Beginnings Support Group. Our next meeting is Monday, March 13, 2006, at the St. John's Surgery Center, Classroom 4B, 1229 E. Seminole, Springfield, Missouri. We meet from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Our regular meetings are the second Monday of every month. The New Beginnings Support Group is for weight loss surgery pre and post-op patients, their support members or anyone wanting to obtain information on weight loss surgery. We welcome pre-op patients, post-op patients, family members, and the general public. You may be a part of our group regardless of where you have had your surgery, and you don't have to be a patient to attend. We have a wonderful group of people that attend our meetings! The meetings are educational and a great time to get to know other weight loss surgery patients that are at various stages. I hope to see you at the next meeting.
