Surgery over--piece of cake!
Good morning Missouri. I had the lumpectomy done yesterday, and I was home 4 hours after my surgery time. The surgery was nothing compared to WLS. The only downside is that they couldn' find the sentinel node, so they had to remove more lymph nodes than orginally planned. I will have to wait until later this week for pathology results.
In the meantime, I am lounging around and playing on the OH boards. It's sunny here and supposed to be 60 degrees today. Not bad for February.
I wanted to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers. I just need a few more prayers until I get my results. I think this surgery is going to give my life a new purpose. I really want to spend some time as a volunteer educating others about the importants of regular examines.

Linda,
I'm relieved to know the lumpectomy is behind you. I'll be thinking and praying for you.
I love your attitude about how you're wanting to turn this experience into a way to give of yourself to help others. I've seen so many people take the second chance at life that our surgery gives us to recreate themselves. What an inspiration as a post-op and through this experience with your lumpectomy that you are.
Thinking of you.........

Magee,
Whew. I am glad that is over. I saw your posting about getting your drain removed. I know just how you feel. The drain I had for WLS bothered me more than the drain I have now. I have a JP drain this time, and it not a problem. Of course, it isn't pulling on my stomach either. It comes out of my side below my arm.
Glad things are going well for you and that you had a great weight loss for your first appointment. You are on your way now!!
